Well I got a VISA Debit card from ICICI now i want to ask you guys whether i can shop online using that Visa debit card. I have tried Godaddy.com site to purchase a domain and that did not work. If anyone gives me a good idea of what i can do now?? Yes the Debit card is activated so i want those people that use an icici bank card to help me here please...
i dont think you can shop online using Debit card with visa logo... you can shop online but only outside india i guess.... but not sure through if international sites accept Visa logo Debit cards... but i think they dont accept it and thats why godaddy didnt accept it...
Debit card with written instruction on it "FOR ELECTRONIC USE ONLY" cannot be used for internet payment due to RBI Guidelines.
I understand in India there are two kinds of cards being offered, one for Domestic usage and one for International usage. Check to see if your card can be used internationally. Is yours a VISA Debit Card or VISA Electron Debit Card ? If it is the Electron, it probably can only be used in stores which accepts the Electron card.
ICICI bank have visa electron debit cards not visa cards , which are not accepted online. Only 2 banks debit card are accepted UTI and SBI (Internationall master card logo debit card)

No Debit Card from Indian banks are going to work.. Use Credit Card only,or else,try NetSafe Virtual Credit Card from HDFC bank..
Mr. goldberg you are wrong. UTI Bank and SBI Bank internationall master card debit card works for online shopping. But not in godaddy.
I guess I`ll wait for my SBI card to arrive then they really are too slow its been 4 weeks since i applied for an sbi card
