    done trust alexa atleast (i dont use it though) I think shawn know this stuff better than us. if the traffic dropped, I'm sure he will do something to increase it.

    its just full of complete noobs or people that know the money that is made here.

    Its liks noobs sharing among noobs lol...

    The new rules are gay, yes, but this forum was long dead before then. Any traffic increase will just be from more arabs or indians that dont hav a clue wat they are talking about.

    Way to contradict yourself, your saying the place is full of noobs but the new rules are gay? The new rules effect the noobs who lack the intelligence to read how the place works, and that's a good thing.

    The mods are doing a great job, it's a shame they can't cover more ground and thousands of "PM me" posts still slip through daily. I've moderated a site larger than DP (9 Mil posts and the DB has been pruned numerous times since 99) and it's a tiresome and thankless task especially when we were on UBB and spam management tools were a pipe dream.

    I'll guarantee if they went on strike for a month and let the board fill up with crap, you won't be saying the new rules are "gay".

    Yes but there is nothing rong with a pm me here or there. Especially wen sum of these idiots hav full mailboxes. These rules should affect the noobs that dont want the information... and they post just for the post count.

    These are the noobs that should be targetted. The warning count should be lowered to like 3... and then its a perm ban. But admins need to stop giving useless bloody infractions.

    Like I got one for posting in sumones thread that wanted to buy a cd key. I asked wen he got one to give one to me! (with a little smilie after ofcourse :D)

    ANd i got one for that. Oh it was for buying cd keys or sum bs. I WASNT GONNA PAY FOR IT NUBS.

    That is the sorta useless crap I am talking about.If they wanna mod the nubs then mod them. Dont mod us good people that actually hav contributed to this place :|

    Hardly affects the forum. Many people have left and many newcomers are in. It would go on. The new rules are good and they keep atleast some of the crap monsters away.

    One very bad trend I can see is the complete drop in English standards, I used to be able to read some of the posts (with some difficulties) now I can only guess what they are trying to say. Killermule, just curious, are you sure you are from Australia? Maybe Australia is too big and diverse, in some parts the written English may be different.........

    The new rules are necessary to keep spammers and scammers at bay. If a little drop in traffic is the price to pay for it, then so be it. I'd always choose a big forum with quality posts over a huge forum with absolutely crappy posts.

    It isn't difficult, most of the time use your common sense, read through all the stickies and the rules, you should be quite safe. If you aren't the patient type, avoid P&R, I think thats about all the advice I can think of.

    The rules aren't going to help much against scammers, it helps clear the forums of the useless clutters but for scammers you still need common sense.
