I have a blog which is doing alright as far as getting traffic is concerned. I get 4000 impressions daily. I get 85% unique visitors. I get all my traffic from Google.

The problem is that I am not getting many Clicks.

I have 3 content units, One at the top, one before the post and one on the side. 1 video unit.

What do you think should be earnings ?
Please give me an estimate so that i can judge my position, right now i am getting an average of 8 clicks/day.........
    [niche : Television]

Any suggestions to improve my click/day are welcome :)

It really depends on a lot of things.

One big aspect is the niche and the type of people it attracts. Topics more on the technical side usually have visitors that are aware of ads and don't click them (no matter how well blended).

Also having content that is too informative doesn't give people a reason to click ads for more information (this is a paradox since you also can't give terrible information or people won't come).

Lastly, I don't know how your site looks, but I found removing fancy images and keeping a clean design makes it more likely for people to look/click at ads.

Edited because to many PM's my marketing techniques. I just do not want to spend time teaching so i deleted my previous answer. I am sorry, I will help you a little though.

FIRST) Take ads out, it scares away the users

SECOND) Place ads in relevant areas, i.e. at the end of your content for a page.

THIRD) Try to use only text link ads, video ads may not be for your target audience.

For me and my niche, traffic would help of cource, but i'm doing all right with 1-1.4$ clicks and very-very targeted visitors. I make around 15$ per day with very low traffic.

So it all depends of your niche. If it pays well and if people click.

    Dear electron,
go to Blogger dashboard >> Settings> Formatting >> and change the show 7 pots on the page to either 3 or 4.

I personally didn't like tour blog template, You can use three column adsense bloggerized template , search the Google and you will find it.

You are getting 4000 visitors , 85 % unique and mostly from the google ie mens getting organic traffic , you are lucky

You have decent traffic to your site or blog and your AdSense income is low, try the following tips and see how your CTR increases dramatically.

    1. Make your ads visible above the fold. Statistics have proved that ads which are visible without scrolling generates highest clicks. Another reason is that the ads will look like normal web links that visitors are used to click on them. Also the large rectangle ad format has proven to be the highest CTR generator.

    2. Make your ads blend with your site content. Make sure that your ads background and border color are same as your content background. Ad text and URL should have the same color as that of the font color of your ads. And Make the link color to that of your web pages link color.

    3. Make use of set of special comments to tell the Adsense spiders about your main content. This will help AdSense to serve more relevant ads based on your content. And more relevant content means more clicks.

    4. Write keyword rich, grammatically correct juicy posts. This will make people read them and spiders will serve the best ads related to your keywords. Make sure you have some large content. Don't place ads on pages with 2 lines of content.

    5. Make use of custom channels from your Adsense console. Analyze your stats and tweak settings so that you get the highest CTR. Keep records of all the changes you do and measure your results periodically.

Apply these techniques and you will definitely see a dramatic increase in your CTR.

All will depend on the action , more action more money.

    Hope this will help you.

    Regards
