    Hey,

We are currently developing a new site and it has been submitted to google for indexing. Does anyone know how to speed up the process to get a website indexed sooner?

    Thanks,

    iBolt Media

    Firstly
Do not use the googles add url on their site
Find a high PR forum (like DP :)) that does not use session ids (any vbulletin forum may be) and request for a website review of your site and post the url exactly as it appears.
find a well reputed PR directory and add your site
Wait couple of days and get indexed in google
This is will do to get indexed in google within a week.
    Thanks.

submitting your site to google (add your site) is a waste of time
just do as told above (put your link in as many places as you can (the higher the PR the better)

You are also the member of DP forum. Use your website in the signature link and also submit the best pages of your website in the social bookmarking like digg, mixx, reddit, etc...

Depending on how many pages there are, I would create a XML Sitemap and submit it via Google Webmaster Tools.

I have also added a sitemap to google.

The site is still not indexed but I am hoping that it will be within the next few days.

    Thanks guys,

Yup. I used Digg and saw my site crawled within the hour. Also saw the actual Digg article about my article in the SERPS on 1st page within an hour.

Submit press releases and in few hours your site it will be spidered by SE. Bookmarking it is another great way.
I got on in my sig., submit and you will see great results.

I put a linkdirectory online (700 pages), I registered the subdomain two weeks ago, after two weeks 30 pages were indexed. So I got pissed, I wanted them indexed completely in one week max. So it seems Google needed a bit of stimulation, like a backlink to each page for the spiders to follow.

Google own blogger, hence a blogspot blog is a nice plce to drop backlinks. I put a blog online and use the email feature, blogspot automatically publishes anything I send to it.

With php & mysql I made a table per category-page of my linkdirectory (url, title, keywords) and on a cronjob make an email :
    * the category as title
    * a google blogsearch feed on the category title (some snippets and "follow" links to fresh content)
    * a link back to the directory category page

I fed the directory sitemap and blog feed to google webmaster (you can register a blogfeed as sitemap) and fed the blogfeed to kping.com, pingomatic.com, technorati, and registered the sites at yahoo and msn.

Then I ran both sites through http://submitforce.blogspot.com/ (search engine submitter) and after two days of auto-blogging the site is 150 pages indexed. Nicely on target.

I really am looking to focus on SEO on my website. I was wondering why submitting my site to Google is a waste of time? I did this awhile ago, but I am not sure why it is a waste? Thanks.

Hi, just collect as much backlinks as you can. Especially from high PR websites.
It could be social bookmarking sites, it could be your other sites :D

You can also create dummy blogs to point links to your main website. Post and then ping these dummy blogs.

    Try this also:

    - urltrends.com/viewtrend.php?url=yourdomain.com
    - domaintools.com/yourdomain.com
    - whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=yourdomain&tld=com
    - aboutus.org/yourdomain.com
    - quickwhois.co.uk/whois.php?domain=yourdomain.com&button1=Check
    - iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker?domain=yourdomain.com
    - sitetiki.com/yourdomain.com

Make sure you replace "yourdomain" with your domain name :D
It will count as backlinks on Google. And the best part is: IT'S FREE !

I think to speed up you have to pay, a lot of people offering the services.

It's not exactly a waste yourfinancequestions, it's just not needed. Google is such a pimp these days that if you submit to a few Social Bookmarking sites, you'll be indexed within days, no matter what. Take care.
