how to get dedicated IP's?

    Hey everyone,

I see a lot of people who have lots of sites on dedicated IP's. So what I was wondering:

How do you do that? Do you buy a new hostig account through a new host for each domain? Or is their another way to do this?

I find this interesting because I have lots of sites I'd like to link together, but haven't done so until now because a lot are on the same IP. Hope anyone can tell me something interesting about this. Or maybe hosting companies where you can divide multiple sites over multiple IP's.

    Thanks!

Ask your host to provide you with a dedicated IP if your on a dedicated server you can ask for more IP blocks

Wont be free but not expensive

So you simply need to get a dedicated server to do this? Simple enough. Any recommendations for good and cost-effective ones?

    Thanks for your reply!

even if you are not on a dedicated server, you can ask for a dedicated ip adress from your hosting provider. It usually cost 1-4$ a month

No need to have a dedicated server to have dedicated IP. You can have dedicated IP on any type of hosting, shared, reseller, VPS. It generally cost 1-2$ per month. Ask your hosting provider for this. They will assign a dedicated IP to your account.

dedicated ip is not really necessary for interlinking. I been doing interlinking to all my sites without any problem.

1000 bucks, slap the server into a rack in your garage and don't share or pay hosting fees again.

Thanks for al the replies, guys! Really appreciate it. Also the one article about how to get several C-Class, IPs. Was exactly what I wanted to read!

May I ask if you know of any host who does this? Because that would be interesting. My own host isn't doing it for that cheap. And for the kind of sites I need a seperate IP for, I don't need a whole lot of bandwidth.
