I think she is the best person. In my opinion she is one of the best three. Jump on the Obama bandwagon if you want. With your post it is obvious.

She has values which is something most people are not concerned with.

My post it's obvious that i support Obama, truly it is? Simply because I question the VP pick and your posts does not even come close to me supporting Obama.

Values, yeah like firing people who do not agree with her, canceling a bridge to nowhere and keeping the federal funding, real 'values'

Most people with so called values end up being fakes in the end from my experience, values also do not make for a prosperous nation IMHO

    ---
BTW I was incorrect, I did not read the 'if' in front of the 'if this was a' teaches me to not post before having my coffee or being awake. My mistake and I apologize for it.

Everyone has values, Homebiz, though each person's values may differ.

The presumption that the values espoused by Palin are "values," and those by others are "non-values," is something that I would say has plagued our country for some time now.

Hey can you supporters of this decision that are denying this is anything more than a politics first stunt to grab disgruntled Hillary voters do me a REALLY BIG FAVOR?

Answer this question honestly: If Palin were a man do you really think he would have picked a person with a resume that thin? Basically representing everything he's been trying to say was wrong with Obama?

Sorry I know facts get in the way and hurt Republican rhetoric. We really needed facts in the lead up to the war. The American people are not stupid. That's why Republicans have been losing house and senate seats left and right for the past 2 years.

Sort of how the democrats are running on a hope anc change platform? Nothing more then a stunt to get voters since its obvious Obama brings no change. Except for the fact he is black. Is that a stunt? Why else would the party want somebody with a resume so thin to be running for their president?

Obama is running for President. She is for VP. She has more experience then him. He is corrupt and doesnt bring any form of change. She has a couple of petty scandals against her that are meaningless and hardly anything at all. He has no sense of morals. She does. Mccain is a moderate. She is a conservative. Seeing as it is the Republican nomination I think picking a conservative person with strong moralls is in the interest of keeping the right wing vote.

So far you are hardly showing any signs of knowing much of anything. Republicans have been losing seats because of a lot of different things. And the entire thing is a cycle it goes from on eparty to the next after several years.

The Dems will not bring up any dirt on her Grim. The Dems have too much of there own bro.

Palin is one of the few that I have liked in office and I have liked her for months northpointaiki. I was in the forum as you were when the announcement was made. I have not liked anyone from either side up until this point. I have not liked any person that has ran since Reagan. I did not like either Bush, Clinton, Gore, Edwards or the others. I will say that Clinton, even though I was not a big fan did not do that bad of a job. I do think he could have done a lot more if he was focused.

I can actually say honestly that she is a great pick and she has impressed me for months.

Obama is not qualified to be President but he does have charisma and the man is an incredible speaker.

We're having some trouble in translation with each other, it seems, Homebiz.

I'm not challenging your right to support whomever you wish.

I challenge the notion that her values, which happen to be those of the Christian rightist political philosophy, are "values," and those who don't share her philosophy, are somehow "unconcerned about values." Which is why I wrote:

northpointaiki, I do not not know if she is left or right. I like her economic policy. I like that she did not abort her child that had downs. She values family the community and the environment. She wants to drill which is not anti environment with the highest precaution to protect nature. She wants smaller government. She thinks that fitness and family is very important.

If valuing the family and community is far right or left, then I am up for it. She speaks the same talk as the other candidates but her actions back up the talk. I am absolutely shocked that McCain actually picked someone that I liked.

Palin's proposals that I tried to talk about in the forum back in June were dead on. Seek alternative energy, Promote hybrid cars, increase power plants and the list goes on and on.

I have to agree with you. I think McCain put the nail in his coffin by choosing her. I will still vote for him though and only time will tell if this decision was the right one. If McCain does win then she could be president because the big MC is like a million years old.

Edit: He could be here father or even grand father tisk tisk...

The more I read about her the more I dislike her in all honesty. As a person she might be ok, as far as being in the position of leading the country far from it. Many issues you can not even find a position being taken by her.

I keep hearing this 'more experience' line being thrown around, I personally don't see it.

    I don't know of a 'barry'

A tiny little town and an extreme right leaning state with a very small population does not equate to much experience.

BTW I realize it's a nickname, just don't feel it's appropriate. Appears you're using it as usual as a way to smear Obama.

I think Palin is an excellent choice! Obama says he wants to change things and then tags the insider of Washington insiders, Joseph Biden, a thirty-six year Senator, as his running mate. McCain, in addition to his honorable service to the USA as a soldier/POW, has chosen a woman from Alaska, someone from way outside of the Beltway, to help change the things he thinks need changing. I don't agree with his views on immigration and a few other topics but IMO McCain would be a very capable Commander in Chief. Palin is a good choice is many ways - the conservative base of the Republican party likes her, she is well versed in oil, gas and other energy concerns, ...(insert other reasons she is qualified here) ... and disgruntled democratic voters may pull the lever for McCain out of anger at Obama for not even considering Hillary or another Democrat woman for his VP slot. Just some of my thoughts ... :)

Well, if we are going to arm wrestle other leaders for world supremacy, her upper body strength will be an asset.
