Ok say I have (EXAMPLE) Toys.net.... now say I add a small holy bible site... (Would it be better to do like bible.toys.net or toys.net/bible/index.htm... or does it not matter when google ranks) Now the content in the bible part would it show up in google if someone typed holy bibles would my "sub domain" show up just as well as a normal domain like bibles.com would? Also by making the bible section and than putting a link back to toys.net help at all?

Also does .com or .info or anything else matter when it comes to google ranking?

I'm really confused with this and any help would be GREAT!

no sub domains will not show up in addition to the main domain. If someone searches for your subdomain specifically, typing the url, then a link to your main page will show up. :)

doesn't matter if it is bible.toys.net or toys.net/bible/.whatever you prefer.
they are the same thing.google just shows the one your backlinks have it.

a page is a page.you can rank for anything if you have the backlinks with the anchor of the keyword.

having a link on the main domain is just giving it a backlink.

Domain extension do not matters in ranking. And yes, the subdomain you make can rank as good as any other page of your site. You need to build backlinks and add content, then any site or sub domain can rank good.

First read the purpose of a subdomain.:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subdomain

Than decide which to use. As far as rankings go, their is no difference...unless the subject matter has little to do with the main domain.

Actually they are not the same thing. A subdomain is most cases considered its own website while a directory is not. F
