Microsoft has unveiled its IE 8 equiped with privacy feature that could treathen the advertising model of web search. User of IE 8 can opt for to access the websites in private and Google no longer can collect information of individual. Today IE users are more than any other browser.... Would Maximum user will opt for privacy such that Google does not take any information of individual, later which would treathen advertising model of google?
But Microsoft may collect those personal data instead just kidding. In my opinion, as long as you are using some services provided by Google, you cannot avoid such a thing (if it's true). However, any source??
Dude its not microsoft binding, it is we the user.It is in the hands of surfer to make the session private or not
No I don't think it's a major threat in the first place. Google is currently renewing a new deal with Mozilla on making their web browser using Google as the start page for another 3 years. And since IE commands less than one third of the search engine business, that will not pose a significant threat.
Source of the information is Forbes. Good news now Google can not look through your Emails. That's not all IE8 got. The new IE 8 appears stable and noticeably faster than its predecessor, the IE 7, and among its new features and updates users will notice several improvements such as the accelerators, which are designed to help users significantly speed up their activities of searching for a street address, a definition or a translation; the visual search will also prove to be of great help for users looking for certain items on eBay, Wikipedia, Google or YouTube, as the application provides results and pictures from the Web sites right through the browser once a user starts typing into the IE8 search box. Another important feature is the InPrivate option, which does not memorize any visited pages in the user’s history list, doesn’t keep cookies and also does not store auto-complete information.
if the default setting is automatically block ads... that would be bad news for adsense. that would be a bad news for affiliate marketer... because most of affiliate program relies on cookies in user browser... I hope this setting is not turn on by default.
no evil. I believe google. if you don't agree it will not collect you privacy. But it is not the same to Micro$oft.
honestly, I was long over due to update my browser from IE6 so i updated it to IE7 a couple of weeks ago and i realise that IE8 was out as beta testing, so i took a chance at it. I'm a happy camper, no problems here, i'm very happy with how the websites loads. Well, then again i'm also using Avant browser which is also base on IE in general
It would be a threat to affiliate marketers, they mostly now rely on cookies. Clickbank publishers watch out! IE8 is full of advance features, microsoft has decided not to release it early.
