Hey guys, one of my client is from Tunisia and now he wants to send me the money, but unfortunately, paypal is not supported there.. So,how can we make it happen??? How can we do the transfer?? Im really in a big doubt now...
But that client is saying that,Western Union is not supported in their country.. How can i know that??
ask him what are the payment processers working in his place. Also you can ask him to pay by credit card to your paypal account!
He says, "Tunisian banks doesnt make International Credit cards and then doesnt allow to add or withdraw funds to their VISA cards." I dont know,if he is speaking TRUE or FALSE.. Any ideas plz.... IS there any Tunisian member over here??
I have checked WU web site, it seemed Tunisia is supported http://www.westernunion.com/info/homePage.asp?country=TN&origination=global
paypal ( paypal support Tunisia ) + bank transfer + western union + moneygram+moneybookers ++++++ I am from france but I always spend my summer holidays there Tunisia has the best Modern Banking System in Africa and middle east Tunisian banks: http://www.stb.com.tn/Pages/Default.aspx http://www.biat.com.tn/portal/page?_pageid=34,1&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL http://www.attijaribank.com.tn/attijari/site/home.jsp http://www.atb.com.tn/atb/site/home.jsp http://www.amenbank.com.tn/ http://www.bh.com.tn/ http://www.bte.com.tn/ http://www.bt.com.tn/ http://www.bna.com.tn/
I guess it would cost him a fortune to do bank transfer. Especially to India. You may want to ask him to check on the fees first. For bank transfer just ask him to go to the Tunisian bank and initiate the transfer. You will need to give him your account number and Swift code as well as particulars of your bank.
westernunion must be there but only for recieving , the better choice would be that he can pay Thru E-gold as heard Africa has lots of E-gold exchanger as well as LR now a days.
or auctionnex or xoom? for me are bank transfer fast and cheap 1,50 € for one transfer (worldwide) and 30 european countries no fee !!!
Tunisia is a Paypal Supported Send Only Country https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside so it means they can send you money but not receive it from you. Thus inevitably your customer is lying to you there. Have you done any work for him yet because from what I see, he is trying to find excuses not to pay you and blame it on a non-existent problem.
Eddy is truly the expert here with regards to Pay Pal, had benefited tremenously from reading your posts, appreciate that a lot. For the OP you may want to be very careful dealing with such clients, if he is so dishonest about such details, I doubt he would be keen on paying and even if he paid, I guess it will be quite a tough job chasing the debts.
This does not make sense. If Paypal supports them, they would have done all the necessary research to determine the banking system in that country. If Tunisia does not issue international credit cards then the country must be extremely backward as no one can travel because travelling with loads of money is not a good way of travelling. Besides if they did not issue international credit cards, paypal would probably not accept the country. A Simple check at Arab Tunisian Bank http://www.atb.com.tn/atb/site/viewarticle.jsp?id=1306 shows that they offer both International and national versions of their VISA and Mastercards.
Eddy is the best in advising.. Thanks man!! Well, yes i have done a big task for him. He owes me 560$. But he says that,he can open a new Paypal account, but how will he add the 560$ to his Paypal,so that he can send me.. He says, his countries CREDIT CARDS are not accepted in PAYPAL. I dont understand, howcome VISA powered credit cards not working for him... I guess,he is trying to play some trick, may be.. He says, his Credit Card is VISA powered, but Tunisian banks doesnt allow International transfers... I dont understand, what the hell..
He paid me upfront 220$ from another man's paypal, but now he says, that man is unavailable.. Im in a shit hole now...
That could spell trouble down the line. What if this other person claims unauthorized use of their account? .
