Its about the adword tool. to know the amount of word that is searched in google.
I want to know regarding to SERPS position. Lets say there is this user who comes to google.com and types this exact word bright yellow mammal on it. and I want to target for this word only so what would be the way of keyword that I would type in adwords tool so that it tells me exactly how
much this term is searched last month. nothing more than that!

No,not true, with that he would also get phrase and broad match searches also.

Type in the adwords tool exact match.Like this:[bright yellow mammal].You need to type it with this brackets.

What is this, are you in a mood to disagree with everything I've put, or just in need of an ego boost?

If he types in, bright yellow mammal, into the keyword tool and then change the match type to exact, from the drop down box - it will tell him information about the keyword.

I've just tested this and it's come up with 'Not enough data' so there you have it. Google doesn't have enough data about this keyword to tell us.

If you do what you say and type in [bright yellow mammal] it still by default, displays the match type as 'broad' which has to be changed.

So what I said is true. Thank you.

No,we are just talking and I think that you didn't answered the question correct.

So if I answer a question and if I am wrong I would love someone to correct me because I can replace that mistake with correct information.

    First read what he said.
I assume that he want's to keep his keywords as private information so Bright yellow mammal was just an example.

It is not weird that you got "not enought data" for that keyword, who types in his browser Bright yellow mammal.

Try a keyword like [weight loss].It has 450,000 match searches and broad has 16,000,000.
When someone types in his browser weight loss ebook that search is calculated under the broad and phrase matchs, but not for exact match.

He asked how to find number of monthly searches only for that one keyword and he can get it only with exact matching.

Exactly what I've answered with. He's wanting to find out what a certain keyword gets roughly in searches each month.

Go to the keyword tool and do the following:

    1) Type the keyword in
    2) Select the drop down box (by default selected to Broad) and change it to Exact

It then gives you the information of what that keyword (exact match) gets searched for each month.

What you said, was to type into the keyword tool [keyword] but that's incorrect. It just defaults to broad, anyway, until you change it.

If he's wishing to target weight loss ebook as an exact match and he wishes to find out the sort of search volume for weight loss ebook (as exact match), just do what I've said further up this post.

Sorry but you have answered this in your first reply:
I don't see that you told him to use exact matching.
When I type in the google tool [keyword] I get exact match statistics only.

Don't know for you or someone else but that is what I get.

Still, I could not figure out one thing. how do I turn the results to exact match when I type it with or with out [...] I still get the same results. Just type in brackets [...] or if it doesn't work for you that way you can use the drop down "match type" menu it is right to the "Approx Avg Search Volume".
Type the keyword normal or within brackets and change it to exact in the drop down "match type" menu.

thanks for that michael t. ... just one more thing
the results i get from there such as for the keyword [bright yellow mammal] exact match and the the results show it as 3000 july search volume. so does it mean on the daily basis it is searched for 100 times on google.com that is daily people put this word on google.com for 100 times.

or is it that the competion for adword ads is 100 times

It means that it has average 100 searches daily from google and google's search partners. So 100 people daily puts that word into the search engine.

Not so sure about which tool is better there are always discussions about this.

I personally believe google because the search engine is theirs so I assume that they can give correct information.

so whenever we search in adwords keyword better to go for exact match cause it will give appropriate results but the thing is it even includes searches from parkingdomains which google includes!
