It’s amazing to me that I see that questions come up in different forums that I post to. But then again, I was new to all of this at one time and asked questions like that too….. I love using web directories. It has helped out with more exposure to different sites that I have posted to them.

I just recently found out about web directories. Over the last two weeks I have been submitting my site to various directories. So far no backlinks have shown up, but hopefully they will start showing soon. I can't imagine that all of these sites will help directly with traffic, but hopefully they can help with SEO because of the extra backlinks.
Directory roles is very important in link building. According to some people now a days directories are useless, but you can see in announcement category that how many directories announced there per weak in DP. And how many successful offers here related to directory submission, i think then after you can know better importance of directories. Only one thing is main part of directories Nofollow or Dofollow, if dofollow then very useful and if nofollow then a bit useless for ranking but will give you some hits sure. Thanks
