Yahoo Buzz is a new community based news content website. It has combined the features of syndication & social bookmarking through user interfaces and simultaneously, allowing better editorial control. With Buzz, users are permitted to publish news articles or links from their own website or links of another person’s website containing complete story. Buzzing links allow the traffic to increase on a website. Yahoo Buzz is sure to create a large market for websites researching and publishing their own news stories and articles.

That was a very good business decision from Yahoo launching that site. This will involve the webmaster community with more marketing.

so many different choices that it's getting pretty hard to choose! For now I'll be sticking with StumbleUpon, I just find that it's the easiest source of traffic

Great list. I've posted a couple of things on Buzz and so far haven't been too impressed. However your article makes some great points. The fact that the brand name 'Yahoo' is on it is great. I think if Google tried to do something like this it wouldn't stick but with Yahoo I can see this working.

    Thanks for the share.

@Elward: oh yeah Yahoo Buzz really seems to be a hit even there are other cons, the brand itself made it a BIG hit :)

Seems like Yahoo is fighting for its existance. I do not know if this will help.

They seem serious about it, but not sure they will challenge digg and the likes. Someone [possibly them] offered to buy my domain VitalBuzz.com... Now it makes sense.

Yahoo Buzz is sweet. They still get the most visitors than any site a day.

Nice article, but I question in the long run whether all of these variations can stay around. In the end, the information needs to be distilled into digestible chunks and organized in a way that people can find it. All these alternatives will help in some ways but hurt in others. Too many digg, stumbleupon, etc... variations seem to dilute each other.

Well, it is a new initiative from yahoo and a competition for stumble, propeller, digg kinds of bookmarkings but how far it is effective in bringing targeted traffic is anybody's guess. Already joined the buzz but there is no traffic from it ?

I have had absolutely no success with it. In fact, after I submit an article I can NEVER find it when I search for it. Analytics hasn't picked up any hits fro mit either... but maybe it works for different people.
