That was a very good business decision from Yahoo launching that site. This will involve the webmaster community with more marketing.
so many different choices that it's getting pretty hard to choose! For now I'll be sticking with StumbleUpon, I just find that it's the easiest source of traffic
Thanks for the post. I use many others, but never really thought of Yahoo Buzz. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
Great list. I've posted a couple of things on Buzz and so far haven't been too impressed. However your article makes some great points. The fact that the brand name 'Yahoo' is on it is great. I think if Google tried to do something like this it wouldn't stick but with Yahoo I can see this working. Thanks for the share.
sorry it cant be as it is too long which the thread wont accept and google wont bare duplicate content
@Elward: oh yeah Yahoo Buzz really seems to be a hit even there are other cons, the brand itself made it a BIG hit
They seem serious about it, but not sure they will challenge digg and the likes. Someone [possibly them] offered to buy my domain VitalBuzz.com... Now it makes sense.
Nice article, but I question in the long run whether all of these variations can stay around. In the end, the information needs to be distilled into digestible chunks and organized in a way that people can find it. All these alternatives will help in some ways but hurt in others. Too many digg, stumbleupon, etc... variations seem to dilute each other.
Well, it is a new initiative from yahoo and a competition for stumble, propeller, digg kinds of bookmarkings but how far it is effective in bringing targeted traffic is anybody's guess. Already joined the buzz but there is no traffic from it ?
I have had absolutely no success with it. In fact, after I submit an article I can NEVER find it when I search for it. Analytics hasn't picked up any hits fro mit either... but maybe it works for different people.
