I really like the web 2.0 style. With regards to the logo I wouldn't like it to be plain text, I would like to have a character or an image
a dog maybe.....please don t use any real gaming characters(ex. super mario) cause I wouldn't like to get into legal trouble
plz giv me some feedback.. m a new designer... also if this entry gets picked, i'd like to take that offer about getting it coded on 75/25 basis...
COMMENTS ON ALL THE POSTS TO DATE: Please read this, your design might be mentioned ;-) This concept is extremely interesting. I like that Web 2.0 look and feel. There were a couple of posts that I liked (the yellow one, the red one but that was too cluttered and had really old icons). The angel one was also cool but it was too retro. The one with the PS down below was also interesting but text is text is text. The grey one was also cool but monochrome is not what I want. Comments on this design and general guidelines: I think having sharp edges at the top left and bottom right makes an otherwise soft relaxed concept appear a bit edgey. A teardrop might be interesting to give a more soft look and feel. What I am not sure of is the logo - it seems abit too drab or too amateury. I was thinking of perhaps a hound (search/hunting) holding a joypad in his mouth or a large comfy sofa with an exagaratedly big joypad on it - kind of sit back relax, find a game and start playing or a kid with different coloured fingers (hand/finger painting)... I want some sort of warmth to come through, that engaging feeling, and that "ok wow this website is cool" not just from a hard core gamer point of view but also from a casual gamer point of view. Well I'm not a cartoonist, so I can't make that kind of logo... Thats not exactly what you asked but still... take a look....
