Hello, I was wondering if you guys ever got complaints on your proxy sites. I mean complaints sent to the hosting provider, or abuse@ on the whois lookup of the IP or anything. Also, I've been building a site called www.drproxies.com. I was wondering if anyone had any input. I feel it's looking good, but also feel it's missing some features. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks. That is just the type of input I am looking for. I am rather new in the proxy business (month or so) and don't want to forget common features.
Asking is still free these days, so yeah that's fine mate Also, the sponsored links above the 'recent proxies' otherwise, the sponsored links doesn't look very 'important' Greetz
Yes last year everyday i receive complaint email from hosting But now i already switch to offshore fully dedicated server
Hmm I dont really have much idea then. However I do know of 1 incident whereby a hacker injected some adsense code into the proxified pages of my friend's proxy without him knowing and that caused adsense to send him a warning.
seems its a proxy listing website BTW im giving out free proxy host, free subdomain ,... check this thread if you need a free proxy host
I have seen traffic and $$ building throughout the week also. By Tuesday things should be back in full swing ;-)
Hi, I am working on a new proxy topsite - www.proxypot.com. I just need a few proxies to populate the lists and I'd give the first spots to DP members. To submit, either go to www.proxypot.com/advertise.php and submit one at a time, or PM me with a list of proxies, whether they do myspace / facebook, youtube or are completley anonymous and your email (optional, but warns when your proxy is removed). At the moment there is 0 traffic however I will start promotion after the list is populated.
I think I have got the rough edges worked out on my new site. I need for people with proxy sites, proxy lists and proxy topsites to help test the submission process. All submissions are manually accepted. Once accepted you can give your own site a review and user will also be able to give it a review. Later the feature will be added to the side column that the top ranked sites will show. Your links are permanent and will be a DoFollow so help me test it out visit Proxy Expo
Hey guys, any of you care to drop some comments on my theme blog? On other notes, I need to find another good theme for the blog. Now it seems messing up my post. http://www.xytheme.com/2008/08/20/proxy-business-and-proxy-promotion-in-its-common-ways/
I have a question to all the proxy owners out here. If you are submitting to a proxy list, do your prefer to enter alot of data (giving you lots of options like title, description, category, tags, metadata), or do you prefer a short form? Here is an example of a long one: http://proxyexpo.com/submissions And here is a short one: http://proxytoolbox.com/add.php Which should I aim for?
Short. Not only the owner of that site submitted their site to list, users sometimes do submit their favorite site too. Make it as simple as possible while retains the security, captcha perhaps.
Hi, MWolk is http://MWolk.com as said by logylaps. I approve the site in 24 to 48 hours and once the proxy gets approved it gets send to ~500 feed subscribers (hopefully it touches 1000 in 2 months time since now i am seriously looking to work on it) giving you instant traffic. The 10 recentmost proxies also get listed on home page other than 50 random proxies. Each proxy also gets its own page on the site. I have also put myspace, youtube, bebo categorize though please avoid selecting those sites which your site don't support. Lot of people randomly select all the options youtube, myspace, bebo, facebook which delays the approval process as I have to manually check whether the proxy really support them or not. If you guys have some suggestions than please tell me. I am free this weekend and can easily implement those features. Cheers
