How To Make Your Landing Page Converts Effectively?

Hi, actually i'm not a newbie in affiliate marketing. I have made money through my affiliate sites but I was always trying to monetize it through SEO. Since last month, I've been using PPC to promote the other affiliate programs because I want to diverse my income (not only from one niche). I created my other affiliate site and promote it totally with PPC. Well, I had no luck with it. It costs a lot more dollar than my total commission. I guessed it was because the offer did not work because I also sent many clicks to the merchant's site.

But after I promoted the other offers which seem extremely good in converting its clicks, I experienced the same problem. So my problem is, I sent many clicks to the merchants' sites but they rarely convert. Meanwhile, I pay lots of money for PPC.

Maybe it's because my landing page before I send them to my affiliate links? Then how to create a good landing page, which kind? I've tried to see some examples, clicking the other Google ad in my keywords to see what do they offer in their landing pages. Nothing really different from mine... Can someone guide me?

well, when I said I made money with SEO, yes I make it. I made $5K last month but it's also because I get about 250-300 new clicks everyday from relevant keywords (thanks to my natural listings). So theoretically, if I pay all these clicks, I think I won't make a single cent in clean profit.

What I curious is, whether we should create a landing page which tell them about good offers then send them to our review of the merchant site, then from there we tell people to click our affiliate link (so 2 clicks away to the affiliate link from the landing page) or should we only use 1-click away policy from landing page?

So I confuse about this, option A or B:
A. landing page -> review of the merchant site -> merchant site
or
B. landing page -> directly to merchant site.

What makes me confuse is, sometimes the merchant site has its own landing page. So how to create landing page effectively...

Well, did you tried scheme C. review of the merchant site -> merchant site ?

Also while merchant have it's own landing page we always need to have own. Even when they allow direct linking, just to forget about easy direct linking

 

And one more thing, you already know that keywords from which you are geting 250-300 clicks, did you use RIGHT them in PPC campaign ? I just don't see why they don't convert in that case ...

 

what I mean 250-300 clicks are my SEO campaign, not my PPC. I don't pay for keywords that I already get the first position in natural listing..is that wrong? Yes, i also think it's poor but actually my review page is very detailed and (I think) attractive enough. Sadly, it's just do not convert well.

 

If they don't convert, then it's probably poor quality product.

 

I think buying a book and reading it is a better option then posting in here about that.

Why you want to build landing page?Landing page is not an ideas to get sales?

 

So what is an idea to get sales? Most merchants won't allow direct linking. Even if they do, you'll compete against so many affiliates on the same term just to make sure it was your affiliate link which shows up.

 

I still think you should try keywords you used in seo in your ppc campaign. Simply you maybe in situation where leave non-converting keyword for ppc...that's why. converting keyword is converting keyword, no matter how you look at it

No, you don't get it. I invest in PPC for my other site, not for my SEO site. Actually, I get massive amount of clicks from my SEO efforts, that's why I consistently make sales. But if you look at it mathematically, actually from these converting SEO keywords, my conversion rate is still very poor.

 

Ah, it was looks confusing, I mean you do ppc+seo for one site and seo goes great while ppc sucks. But as far as I can get you are doing good with seo or it still sucks you thinks ? as well as ppc.

I just understand that you say if you'll do ppc instead of that free seo it will sucks even more.

Then only take a look in landing pages. Simply when people start directly from ppc they gave a lot more attention to landing pages. I think you should find as much info about that as you can. Maybe you used wrong strategy for that merchant or so.

AS I SAID, i have a website and I promote it through SEO. I found the most competitive keywords for the merchant that I promote (let's say this merchant is merchant A). I'm pretty damn good at SEO so I get the first rank in these competitive keywords. If you try to bid on these keywords, believe me, you'll lose $2-$3 per click even if your CTR of your ad is as good as 6% or more.

I got about 300-400 clicks from these RELEVANT KEYWORDS, get it? OK, time to read more...

Do I think my efforts in SEO sucks? Obviously not. BUT WHAT I THINK SUX IS MY CONVERSION RATE. From this 300-400 daily visitors, I send 60-70 clicks to my affiliate link. From this 60-70 clicks, my avg. conversion rate is only 1/30-1/35. Sux? Obviously. Although average commission per sale is still above $35 but I still want more. IMAGINE if I promote this site through PPC, I will be bankrupt in few months. That's why I say "it will suck even more". Get it? OK....(if you still don't get it, just re-read it again, you'll understand)

Now, let's move to the next story, my PPC story.
As I said so many times before, I DO NOT PROMOTE MY MAIN SITE THROUGH PPC. Why? Because I already get good listing for this website, for what reason I bid on these keywords? That'll be suicidal because I know my conversion rate sucks. I even already gets a very good position (3rd position) in my merchant's trademark keyword.

So what do i promote through PPC?
AS I SAID EARLIER, it's the merchants in another niches (merchant B, merchant C, etc.). I promote them because I want to diverse my income. This is what I'm struggling. I don't make money from my PPC campaign.
