Why edit my personal link out? I was the first to report it and I included all links. That's retarded. Anyways, I could careless about that. I'm not out against Shawn or anything. If I didn't post this, someone else would have (and did).

Digital Point has turned to trash. I only came back to see what everyone on here was saying about this. Shawn could give a damn about this forum and it's obvious he neglects it. *shrugs*

    And I stand by it!

Just because I'm a moderator here doesn't mean:
    a) I knew Shawn was cookie stuffing
    b) that we tolerate cookie stuffing unless it's done by users
    c) that the "we" included all admins and moderators. I know that cookie stuffing isn't tolerated and I've been more than happy to enforce the rule.

Infact if Shawn is found to have acted against the eBay TOS then he's a bloody fool - I suspect though that it may well come down to lawyers twisting words to show how the TOS can be interpreted and both parties will lose alot of money trying to get their case heard.

But that opinion is said with no more information than has been expressed in this thread. I certainly haven't corresponded with Shawn about it :)

Is he using this forum for cookie stuffing? Is Google Adsense allowed on sites that stuff cookies? If not, what is the chance that Google bans all the publishers revenue sharing on this forum?

Would be interesting if I was a mod :D Guess I'll have to help you guys do your job

Cookie stuffing happens even by DP members. Hostgator pay $100 per referral. Just checkout every hostgator thread around here -

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=974793&highlight=hostgator
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=982303&highlight=hostgator

Both of those two stuffed their affiliate link in the OP. One was more discrete about it, but a stuffer non the less.

I'll await for them to turn red :D

Shawn is a popular guy and personally I don't believe that Shawn did it. Now if Shawn has did it and did pushed the ebay TOS to the limits, then he must be knowing the risks involved too and must be knowing how to get away with that.

Might be Shawn brings a different interpretation of the TOS.

Now it has to be seen how much money actually earned from cookie stuffing and how much through legitimate approach. Isn't it?..or it that Shawn earns everything from ebay through cookie stuffing?..so many questions will arise.

Are you guys all idiots? Just because he's making $100,000/month doesn't mean he won't go further to supplement his income via sneaky, inconspicuous, and EASY ways. A lot of top internet marketers that we know and love do willingly participate in such Blackhat activities (Shoemoney comes to mind) and lots of affiliate networks let them get away with it because they'd be losing MUCH more if they don't keep them abroad.

EPN/eBay cookie stuffing/eBay Auction Cookie Stuffing is a quick way to earn $x,xxx/month with LITTLE overhead (auction fees, eBay accounts, etc). You guys are all in the dark. We have a very ignorant crowd here.

VERY easy to make money here guys. Say I stuffed the first post with an [ IMG] http://www.ebayaffiliateurl.com [ /IMG], every IE user would see a blank X and get cookie stuffed and every Firefox user wouldn't even see an image and get cookie stuffed. I would've stuffed several thousand people by now and if ANY ONE of them signed up as a new user for eBay and they become an ACRU (active confirmed registered user) I would get $35 while I get a % of ALL of their bids in the near future based on cookie settings/performance with EPN.

Actually as far as I know, forum software if very clever and doesn't display an image that doesn't exist. So even IE users would not know they were cookie stuffed on this forum.

Yep, and everyone who quotes you will see the image sitting there, and everyone subscribed to the thread will see the dodgy link in the email notification. It's only a matter of time before someone reports you and then every one of your posts will be cleaned.
