    I also choose to use /%postname%/ it's easy, precise, and looks a lot better, plus its very good for search engine rankings, it ranks me higher than when I used category/postname/date, or any other variation...

    as long as it ends in %postname%.html it should be fine.

    Why... I don't really agree to make wordpress permalink to end with html.

    For example if you click the "Read More" link it'll look like this.

    thepostname.html/#more34

    like that.

    Not nice and it fools the SE bots.
    How if your site is penalize?

    No i think this is not cheat, bcoz title is corelate with content , just make title more appear :)
