Fastest way to get search traffic?

i think, better keyword analysis is required ! then concentrate on off page as well...

 

me too. i think u have to rewrite your meta tags for the best keyword about your content.

 

do onpage optimization, if your site gets to many links to fast its not good either.

 

i usually hit about 300 unique hits a day within 7 days.

content is king.

I think links too much is not a good thing for you. You'd better make your web at the top of some search engine,you can submit your web to some big directory,such as DMOZ.

 

DMOZ waste of time imo, every single site i've sent in, nothing happens. Even when I resubmit. It's 90% useless if you can't ever get a site listed?

 

The quickest way to generate search engine traffic is to post unique content daily for one full year( you might skip weekends), participate in related blog carnivals every week, network with bloggers from your niche and have a good dose of luck

With 2000 links in a month this just isn't spammy it's in the mass murderer category I wouldn't post any more links until things come around.

It's easier for a fat man's butt to pass through an eye of a needle then to get on DMOZ these days but you shouldn't care about this. I even wonder about Yahoo Directory these days as there's some suckers who paid $300 and have a lot better PR than I do to show for it and I kick their butts

You can get high SERPS now fairly fast and a heck of a lot faster than you used to but patience my boy

Long articles? But I read somewhere that spiders don't crawl to the end of the page to benefit from this strategy. Perhaps more but shorter articles would be better.

 

I don't really think there is a quick way, I think you just have to build up site links and increase SEO over the long run. It will take some time. If you want quick traffic though I would tryout PPC

 

Explain facebook, and friendster, I did some Myspace bulletins, despite having 800 friends no traffic is sent hmm

 

SEO is a long term business and it takes time, however you might need to wait more to see results.
Usually new sites get a post once it goes alive, and then start to drop in the ranking till SE find all the links and start to rank it according to it's quality.
Quality of the Content and the Backlinks plays a huge part in the website ranking speed
