None...I used to and then I finally realized that the only way to get REAL money in this business is through paid advertising.

Sure you can make a grand or 2 a month with bum marketing but your NEVER going to make the big profits. Plus writing articles is a complete pain in the ass.

Get some seed money...then go to PPC...That's if your taking this like a serious business.

For my blog i write 7-10 a week, for my other sites none.

I have someone to write another 7 articles for my affiliate website which i submit each article to ezine articles, only just started this up though so can't tell you sales figures as i have none at the moment. I pass the articles on to my website aswell.

    Now please tell me

Whats the average size of these articles?

Do these articles just get submitted on ezine for affiliate products your promoting or are they for personal blogs?

How long does it take you on average per article to write?

Haha, I get around 5 articles done per week, don't have time to write them by myself, I just edit each article once I got them.

    11 Articles + 2 Squidoo Lens + 1 YouTube Vid = 12 hour day of work = $9,000 a month

It pays to just use TIME as money.... well it does for me.

I'm just starting out and i'm making a grand or 2 a month.

people don't realize that article marketing is pretty much just free advertising. It's PPC without the spending [and maybe a little less exposure].

    maybe...

You can make millions with articles [creating blogs, websites, article directories, etc]; if you're smart about it - after all, PPC is powered by content, did you forget?

    Hi,

For me, it depends a lot on what else I'm doing. I only do this part time, so if I'm creating a new site, then I'm spending time writing content for it, and promoting it. If I'm in Article Writing Mode then I usually find about 3 per day is average. I can do one in 20 mins, but I can only manage 2 per hour, and no more than 4-5 a day - I just get bored after that.

I like to switch between tasks to keep my brain functioning!

Oh, and I currently make about $500 - $600 per month off of about 80 articles (although many of these were written before I had eventhe remotest idea what I was doing ;) )

    Cheers
    Zander

So did you start writing these articles just for selling affiliate products? How do you make the money?

In order to get good money from articles you need to write, write and write some more...and it's very very time consuming. With PPC, I can set up an adgroup in about a half an hour and make more sales with that adgroup than 100 articles would get me...and it would take weeks for the articles to get going.

I'm not saying you can't make money with bum marketing...but writing articles over and over again is HELL and it's just not worth it. I can get better results and a hell of a lot faster with PPC. You can make much more money by investing and using paid traffic.

They both have their advantages and disadvantages i don't think its fair to just totally rule out that you can make more money in PPC rather than bum marketing.

I suppose it depends what skills you have, obviously your skills lie in PPC.

5/day is not too many, I could write more, if I wanted, but I just think, it's not really necessary.

    Articles are 300-350 words.

As long as you know your subject, you can easily write 5-6 articles a day. Also you don't have to write them at once. Do, for example, 2 in the morning, then 2 in the afternoon, and few more in the evening ;)

There's only two investments you can make in business buddy, it's either your time or your money. Investing money is usually the most profitable, but people are more happy to waste time instead of money :p

I agree mate i could write forever about one particular subject. My main problem is concentration, concentrating on writing the articles.

I don't write article,But I have the right to post other article to article sites. You just have to get 100article and post to 500article sites.100*500=50000.10% from 50000 will be 500 if 500sales you make, you earn a lot.

I don't write nearly as many as I should. In fact, I haven't written any articles or website content for my own use in months. Right now, I only have about 50 at EA. Yes, I'm an underachiever, but those articles and a few blog posts earn me some nice passive income, so I think it is time well spent:)

This may be off topic, but those of you who say you can earn more money with PPC have my respect. With PPC, I hit the ground running, then fell flat into the dirt (and the red) a few days later.

    Toodles!

I am guessing you still profit though even if you pay for your articles?
