My mom cooks stuffing every year for Thanksgiving. It's usually pretty dry but I didn't know she could be sued for it.

That's a link in the coop ad network, not cookie stuffing. There's no code on the landing page to show any form of cookie manipulation.

I know tons of people who made lot of money out of ebay cookie stuffing.

Yeah u r right, we don't loose anything.

eBay looses the money, so they take legal action.

Yes, it goes to another site. Anyways, links just cannot stuff cookies by themselves. There is a piece of javascript required on a page. And the page should be opened in the visitor's browser for the cookie to be stuffed.

I am not 100% sure that, that is the site stuffing the cookies.

And i am also not sure if the thread OP's news is really true.

He'd have to iframe'd, JS's or image stuffed the user somewhere first. I assume that's what they refer too, when they say he wrote the software.

Hey guys I dont really trust it. Shawn is no poor guy that he would do like this and by the way is it not ebay's fault to use such simple method to calculate commission? :(

Shawn's system help webmaster community and ebay system helps ebay only

Whole affiliate industry work on the same principle of cookie tracking. I am not favouring anyone, but eBay is a company and if they loose money due to someone they will offcourse sue the person in the interest of the company's owners/shareholders.

Meh if he actually did this then he is a moron, surely he has enough money coming in from this forum plus other things he does in his spare time.

Either way i am sure eBay will squeeze as much as they can from him and the others, if it is true.

Why doesn't he spend his time sorting out these stupid database errors and crap connections on DP instead? :p

This is verified. Digital Point Solutions and its owner is being sued.

This isn't the first time though - we've seen multiple cases with Digital Point Solutions as the defendants. The company is basically a front for them to receive money for illegal activity like what was said in the first post.

Everyone who visits this forum has been robbed in one way or another by the owners. It's not debatable.

I expect this forum to be gone in the near future. It can't possible keep running much longer.

Click fraud, cookie stuffing, and everything else of that nature is not only illegal, but it's wrong. I advertise my site, much like many of you - and if people were cheating me out of money, I would be angry.

This IS NOT a case of a large company just coming in and stomping on the little guys. Shawn has committed illegal and immoral acts and should be punished accordingly. EBay should sue for everything he has.

If it is true, cookie stuffing this forum alone could make him thousands. imagine if he stuffed a hostgator link into every page? He'd make thousands a day i expect...

He probably didnt even use the stuffing on this forum, assuming its true.

If it's true Ebay should be thankful for not sharing this to other people just to cover his trail.
