I am starting to be confused. I use Adwords to get traffic, quiality traffic related to my site content. So i can get users to register and everything. It works very well form me. All my Adwords traffic averages aroung 15% bounce rate. The issue is that i have been reading lately around that trying to buy traffic to convert it in adsense clicks is bad. So.. if i have adsense in my site, and i am using adwords to generate traffic, am i breaking any rule in the Adsese TOS ?
well, you run the risk of being BANNED. Google considers themselves to be G.O.D since there is very little competition in the PPC business, they make the rules as they go along, so you should be careful about what you are doing. Personally I think they are shooting themselves in the foot, cause webmasters with adsense on their pages will now think twice about advertising their site through ADWORDS (which is a scam in and of itself)
actually with or without adwords, you run the risk of being banned. just that now you get to be checked 2x as meticulously as before having used 2 of their networks lol
No...if you do it in the right manner.. if your focus is to just make money out of adsense they yes its arbitrage
What i wanted to know is if it is written contextually in Adsense TOS "you cant have a site with adsense running a campaing on Adwords" it is feasible to write an adwords offcial about this ? right now i suspended my adwords campaign (after reading this) but i dont think there is anything wrong. Actually i am spendig 5 times in adwords of what i am making in adsense. I am having the same amount of traffic from Organic result as Adwords Traffic. The difference is that my Adwords traffic has a much lower bounce rate.. go figure that out...
http://adwords.blogspot.com/2007/09/websites-that-may-merit-low-landing.html Your minimum bid is going to be higher and hopefully high enough that you lose any profit from your arbitrage. Plus, if all you have is a page of paid links, what the hell are you contributing to the net other than cluttering it up with more get-rich-quick pages which there are already a plethora. I said in another post...I filter arbitraging sites from my pages, and if they are clearly just pages of ads to turn a buck, I report them as such. I know I'm not alone in this. If you have a quality site that offers something unique, that's one thing...if it's just ads, forget it.
well first of all . i DO NOT have a page full of links.... i do run a site with a LOT of content,... and i am getting around 200 UV from SERPS.. second of all ... i was using adwords to attract more niche related users... in specific to a keyword i am not ranking as well.. and using that ad to guide the users to FREE register and use my site.. THAT was my goal. I do have an adsense block in everypage, ..... So dont make it sound like by doing this i was trying ONLY to profit by buying cheap and "selling" higher.... you should read the whole thread before jumping into conclusions.
And if you read mine, I was giving what-ifs and wasn't implying anything regarding your particular situation. What-ifs as far as what Google might consider arbitrage to be penalized and what they would probably allow. Ones that specifically go for arbitrage usually are turning a buck and there isn't much point to their existance...if it's for legit use, that's something else.
