According to the below article, there is a mode in the upcoming IE 8 that will block advertisements from being shown. Hopefully this article has incorrect information, or I am interpreting it incorrectly. For all of us web publishers, we can not survive, if we can't display our ads on our sites..... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080828...t_explorer8;_ylt=Amtmq.m8k.AYNMGfC7.rBgIjtBAF
I think they are referring to cookie based banner ads. Kaspersky blocks these ads successfully+plus, it doesn't affect Google ads.
Thank God. I thought IE will spoil the party of all the adsense publishers and hopefully it never happens
I'm hoping what marketsnipers says is true. However if IE 8 does block adsense, it may be an attempt to strangle Google (by drastically cutting it's revenue source).
Firefox blocks ads right now...you can adjust it to accept or block. I block all ads right now. I wouldnt worry about it. Too many "what if's" haha
Yep. Firefox ad block takes care of all ads - the new version automatically updates too, which is cool. Google analytics users are in for a hard time, as it can block that too, so you could lose a ton of good information.
Personally I think it would be crazy if Microsoft figured out some way to block Google ads, but then allowed their own ads to come through in IE. Considering that Google's main revenue stream is adsense, yet Microsoft has the majority of internet browser out there, this would be a good way to take Google down!
Don't worry Bro, No one can block adsense ads. Because If no ads then no adwords. If no adwords no Google. So as long as adsense lives our site will earn.
What do you mean? Of course you can block adsense ads....haha just install firefox or disable java.... As for the microsoft comment above on taking over, that would be a great idea...just have a floating MSNWords where the adsense would go..... Very great idea... haha the end of google....i see it coming...hahaha jk
Yeah! you are correct! BUT... You know how to disable java script, I know how to disable java script but how many of us disabled javascript in our browser, Moreover in Mozilla in the default settings Javascript is enabled, Only less than 2% of browsers disabled the javascript. So we can take a breath... Do you remember, Microsoft is also running a ad network (MSN ad network) If they disable the ad feature then their revenue is also going to fall. So if we gona suffer then they gona suffer too.... They never liked to get suffer so we will be safe........ Any alternative thoughts?
