I checked my ranking on Alexa, and Im very confused on how to read it Site Stats: My domain has a traffic rank of: 2,171,68052 (206,909) Speed: 5029Fa20st 1519 (72%9 of s51ite48s a17880re s75lower), Av79g9686 Load Ti0me: 0631.3 Se73conds Other sites that link to this site: 120 Any idea if 2,171,68052...... and 206,909 are? Can this affect my rankings in the SERP's?
With alexa, the lower the number the better (for example, google is #3... yahoo is #1), so 2 million is not so great unfortunately.
Alexa is more used as a tool for advertisers to see how much traffic you get to your site, and the worth of your site. It has nothing to do with search engines
Absolutely... NO. Alexa ranking has nothing to do on your SERP. Like PR, Alexa Ranks is just a metter on how much traffics you get.
in Alexa Low Counting Numbers are Important, When you Get Counting Under 100000, then Alexa Showing perfect traffic result.....
It cud show traffic results when your site around just 1,50,000...................... If u wud not believe then just go with my signature. It has alexa1,35,000 but alexa giving proper traffic details...................
To the above poster, Alexa never shows perfect traffic results. The only thing Alexa measures is the number of people with Alexa toolbar who are visiting your website. That's all. (okay maybe a couple of other insignificant factors but that's it.) Having said that, Alexa can be considered a fairly decent traffic estimator since in the big scheme of things numbers even themselves out. If you get thousands of visitors per month then the Alexa ranking can be relatively accurate to compare sites with each other since the total % of internet traffic with alexa and your site's % traffic of alexa users will be virtually the same and the standard error devation will be smaller. Generally the higher up in alexa the more traffic your site gets. Alexa is a good measurer of traffic. To compare links and rankings you'll need other tools.
