grab first page

    Hi every one ,

    how to grab the first page from a pdf book that reside in a directory..

    description:
    I want to build a library application ,in which I can collect the names of the books from the directory, send them to a database then retrieve them again,,Now..
    to display the results to the visitor , I need the picture added to the page , but it is very difficult to find each book image and copy it to a directory then,,,,bla bla ,,,
    I want just grab the first page of each book which always be the image ,then shrink the image send it to a directory....

    how to do that,, ?? any one can help

    putting it into a database will solve your problem.. your searches, your collection of names of the books, etc..
    even your pdf file...

    I have built the database and the first part is solved , Im looking for a method to grab the first page from a book and convert to an image

    im really not sure if that one is still covered by php..
    pdf conversion to img?

    better ask the masters
