Uniques 554 THIS MONTH - VERY HIGH ALEXA RANK

    Hello,

    My website has had 554 Uniques this month. But its alexa rank is 715,000 how come?

    Because Alexa is useless, inaccurate and doesn't mean anything.

    And 715,000 isn't a very high rating.

    AND TALKING IN ALL CAPS MAKES YOU LOOK SILLY.

    True, it probably should be more like @ 1.5 million or so.

    Alexa is horribly inaccurate...especially for smaller sites.

    but another one of my websites gets 3,000+ visitors per day and that ranking at just over 1 million.

    The Alexa rank isn't a very good indicator of traffic volume. However, it is a great indicator of how many of your visitors use the Alexa toolbar! :)

    the alexa ranking is very inaccurate with the smaller sites because it bases its ranks off the alexa tool. Its not a good measure of traffic

    Weird. I will be hitting over 5k uniques for one of my sites this month and my rank is 845k.

    Every since alexa started saying they would be more "accurate" they went even more far than being"accurate", they are just plain wrong now. I agree with everyone who says alexa sucks

    I have a tech blog...my site is fairly new and doesnt' receive crazy traffic for the Alexa Ranking I'm about to get in about two weeks...I'm averaging 80,000...

    In other words, depends if your audience use the tool.
