1st logo of several needed - $50 prize

I am in need of several logos so the prize money is less then I'd like to offer, but I'm hopeful I'll get some help from some good designers with a little spare time on their hands or perhaps suffering from a case of "designer's block" and in need of a change of pace!

    This contest is for:
    LoanAides dot com

LoanAides dot com is relaunching and needs a logo. LoanAides dot com is a resource, NOT a lender, for folks that need help sorting out financial situations. It's all about helping people avoid the typical mistakes borrowers make when buying a home, car, or other expensive items, as well as, helping those who are in a pinch.

I'm looking for clean and modern. I want the logo to assist the visitor in recalling the domain name in the future. The first impression should be professional, but not "bank-like". We're a dot com, not a mortgage company.

    Tips:
    - The logo should include: LoanAides dot com as part of it or as all of it.
    - The logo should be wider then it is tall
    - The logo should look "right" when placed in a header 100 pixels tall on a Website

I'll pay attn and provide plenty of feedback. If I don't like your design I'll be polite, but I want you to know so you don't waste too much more time. If your is good, but just not the right direction I'll let you know that too.

To be paid via PayPal. Contest will end Friday night (eastern time) or earlier if I choose a winner prior to end date.

    THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks for the submissions graphicband! I like elements of each.
I prefer one on top because the name is spelled correctly, the colors work better, and I like the font. I'm not sure about the colors and although the hands are a good idea I think it looks too much like someone getting pulled out of the ocean after their boat capsized.

    Thanks for the submission Aian!
The spearmint lifesaver and the three-balled "i" kill it although it didn't hurt to try and I appreciate the thought behind the lifeguard's ring. Maybe lose the ring and balls and add a small .com at end?

As for color scheme... I am open.

Aian - I added your logo to the site. Check it out. Don't worry I won't keep it there without paying. I'll place some of the entries on the site so I can see how they look in action and I think it may help designers as well. Not bad, not bad at all.

JackieH - Nice start! Thanks for submitting a couple. Lose the mirror action and see what it looks like. Now try it without the swiss watch logo as well. I like the red/black combo.

Hey, that's not a swiss watch, it's a red cross - you know, as in rescue/help. lol OK, I thought it was clever, but I'm tired so I'm probably a little off. :D Thanks for the feedback though. Here is a revision (it's a calculator haha).

Odd how the image looks like a dead person laying on his/her back. Not exactly what I was after. It's also odd how the font you chose is exactly the same as the previous entry.

Started with a b/w suggestion, if you need a colour on a black background, I´d suggest something bright and warm.
