Does anyone know of a good place for inexpensive stock photography? I've been looking for good images for yoga poses that aren't going to break the bank, but have had little luck.

    Thanks!

    I concur with I-stock.com
    They are awesome.
Im in the process of redoing my site, and spend only $25 for the images for the entire site!

I've been using photos.com. It is subscription based and it is pretty good. Here's a link to some yoga poses:

My webdesign friends seem to use photostogo.com for most image purchases.

The same site may start a cheap subscription soon, also, but not sure of that.

Getty Images (www.gettyimages.com) is also very good. They have a section of royalty-free images and all.

I am sorry, but I no longer support Gettyimages in anything they do. They just purchased a huge chunk of public domain footage and copyrighted it and now you have to pay to use it. That is just wrong.

I am unaware of such facts, but I doubt they are reliable, as nobody can "purchase" material that is on public domain and then copyright it. Do you have more information on this, please?

Intellectual Property (IP) protection lasts for 70 years in most countries, including the US and EU; such footage is protected by Copyright, it was never in public domain - it should be in a few years, though. All Getty Images is doing is licensing the material they have rights upon.

BTW, I am not affiliated with Getty Images in no way. I'm currently studying IP as a Master degree, so you can understand my interest in these matters. :)
