What are the Benifits of multiple domains? ?

A few marketers have suggested having multiple domains, for different parts of the SAME business. What is the real benefit in this?

and can you suggest ways in which it can be used to your advantage, for an increase sales, increase in opt ins, etc?

2)www.mysitee-newslettwe.com
3)www.mysiteeSecrets.com

I don't know man, I think this would make it harder for link building becasue you would have to build links among all three. However, I'm pretty sure Google uses the website name as a keyword when searching, but I'm not sure how powerful that is.

 

In case your brand becomes popular, other sites can't piggy back on your brand/name, so you would need to register multiple domain names.

Its like Google they bought every domain name that sounds like them so people won't have a lot of traffic from a domain name that is spelled like google for example googel.com

Multiple domains can be beneficial in many ways. One sample is you can use them to support each other. You can use them together to cloak associate links. You can have a blog directed to each with back links to each other. Use your imagination.

 

If you market different products you would want your own domain name to mask or forward your affiliate links.
