site suddenly dropped and i cant find it anywhere

My site was ranking top 10 for a couple of keywords for the past 2 years. Yesterday i could literally see my site dropping from page 1 to 2,3,4.....
I'm not sure what is going on: google still indexes all my pages, and i can find my website when i only search for a my domain name....but with none of the other keywords, which i was ranking for 2 days ago, i am not ranking anymore, and i can't find my site anywhere for those keywords.
Someone please tell me what is going on.

It may be a penalty, check if you've been using any illicit SEO tactics recently. It also might be that some factors that helped it rank high earlier are no longer working... happens all the time with Google

 

I can be a penalty or might be because Google tweaked their algorithm somehow and it is not in your favor.

 

I didn't use any black hat seo techniques....How would i find out if it got penalized? I already wrote an email to google and didn't get any response back. How would i know what i got penalized for?

 

I had a folder called news and i have republished those pages on a blog on a subdomain of the website...and then removed the folder named news and its pages.....that caused duplicate content issues....but now that the folder and pages are not in the index anymore how long will it take to get back in the serps?how can i find out if that was the cause...or if its something else

Your competitors are doing great against you so why not maintain your site and overpower them? It's just a matter of competition and there is no penalty involved..

Just give it a week or two before you make any change

 

it might just be temporary, give it some time and check back to see if it stabilizes

 

if you made temporary changes or made permanent changes, you would have to wait for bots to crawl over your page and update the urls on th search engines. it takes time buddy,

 

Everybody seems to be losing their google spot, especially porn sites.. they changed something recently and a lot of people are very unhappy lol

I had same experienced one week ago. All my keywords ranking for my site had gone. And my site was not appearing for any keyword not even on very low competitive keywords. But Google was indexing all my pages. And you mentioned same thing happening with you. I was also in much concern actually what happened. But i thought i shud do wait. And you wud not believe my keywords ranking now on track. They appeared two days ago...................

So i wanna say don't do anything Rubbish in hurry. Just wait & it wud back on track. So have passions....................

 

Try to add some fresh content and meta tags for those pages which were ranking. Do some SMO (Social Media Optimization) for those keywords, it might be help you friend.

It may be penalty due to some techniques used by you in doing SEO. The other possibility is that you did not do maintenance as SEO is an ongoing process and need maintenance.
