Myspace profile URLs/cease & desist?

Is there any way I can gain control of someone's myspace page name/URL, if they are using my company's name (which is registered with the USPTO)?

For instance, some kid registered myspace.com/MyCompanyName - is there any way I can use legal force to get Myspace to forefit that page name to me? I'm guessing the answer is no, which is going to be extremely frustrating....

You would have a better case if someone had a similar domain name but not on a free social media site..

If the person myspace page had something related to your company, then you would have to send a cease and desist letter to myspace but you wont hear anything back from them.

I would just give him an offer if you really want it, simplest way to resolve it.

I haven't read myspace's terms of service, but I'm going to guess that it wouldn't be difficult to get them to turn it over to you. I'd guess either a trademark violation notice or a nicely worded letter from your attorney to myspace would get it taken care of rather quickly...

Let me know if you have other questions.

If such a legal decision were in favor of such, then expect someone to serve
a notice on DP to force them to give "your" username to them.

    Just something to consider.
