URL redirection and DNS management

Code must be efficient and commented for clarity

I don't have one but is not really only a script like an url redirection site, use a dns server like bind for the dns management.

 

newzone: yes, but I have no idea at all about the DNS stuff, that's why I am asking...
(how to interface PHP with BIND, how to set the DNS, etc)

 

The whole clone is a very big project to be completed, I would like to know the timeframe and monetarily terms you may offer

 

If you think the whole clone is too big a project, I can make do with some PHP code to manage the DNS.
Actually I only need the core functions to manage the DNS via PHP.
A whole clone is nice, though, but optional.

there are some scripts for dns management, for bind, powerdns.

Search on sourceforge first and hotscripts then for a web based interface for bind or powerdns.

I'm sure i saw them.

Xname has something similar :

You only need someone to make little changes to them, users to sign up under the domain you want for a subdomain, integrate it in a new template and i think you are done. But you need a host or VPS with SSH to install bind, powerdns ...

yeah I'm pretty sure it requires a dedicated server and dns can't be managed with php or a server side script without the aid of server side software. If you get it up and running pm me, I'd be interested to take a look at it (as a user that is)

Also some basic needs are;

Its important that we have a premium domain service as well as a basic. We need to be able to set parameters for the premium domains the parameters will be.

* Domains shorter then 10 characters
* Domains containing anything from our list of keywords for premium domains

Customers will pay $2 per year for a premium domain a standard domain will be free.

We will need to have an affiliate program much like there own one.

Customers will need to be able to set up both

* URL forwarding
* Or set up a DNS setting, so it can be used as a primary domain.
