Hi, I'm new to blogger, is blogger a good way to start a blog or should I make one myself in php. Also can you put adsense ads on blogger without having to pay extra or whatever? I see some people with what looks to be blogger but I'm not sure if it is because it has ads on it.
You can add adsense on blogger and blogger is a good place to start for free though I would suggest using your own domain and a hosting if it is not a problem.

Yup, you will get approved faster with blogger than if you were to create your own blog on your own domain.
I got approved with Blogger very quickly and make good money using it. I do agree that domains are better if you are taking it seriously but for those new to it it's a good way to try out ideas and getting traffic at no cost.
Blogger is a great way to start with if you are not willing to pay for your hosting and domain. There are many bloggers who are making their lives out of blogging only.
if you can earn enough to buy a domain & hosting, do it quick. using wordpress you have more flexibility than blogger.
Well once your blogger blog becomes popular its hard to shift to WP. So you better decide now. When i started blogging, I did the same thing. Thought i would switch to other platform later. However my blog become so popular, i dont have any guts to move to other platform coz i fear i might loose all the PR, SERPS and Traffic. You better think before you start. By the way, I am happy with blogger. It let me do everything a WP blog could be prolly do, yeah you need a bit of hacking into the code etc but you would learn everything over time. Good luck!
blogger or you own domain.... it really doesnt matter... what matters the most is the unique content that you can provide
My experience with blogger is that it doesn't always show relevant ads. Which is pretty surprising for a Google Operated service.
