Just now i got to know a blog technical-tejash . blogspot.com that is copying my blog posts word to word from http://www.dailytechnologytips.com and i sent him mail as well as warned him. Let see if he removes my articles or not These people don't even see the copyright symbol. Hate these cheaters. Just to make some money from adsense, they can go very cheap.
I don't recommend adding that code (the ondragstart and onselectstart). Anyone can still get your content and it will only annoy legitimate users. If anything, use an obfuscator.
I agree with alohanema, add some full links back to your site. That means they will have to be changing all of your links by hand or they will be linking back to your site. Make it hard to do just a single search and replace for all those links by changing parts of them.
Another thing you could do is create some obfuscated JavaScripts. Then include them on all your pages. In the JavaScript you can check your domain I think and pop up messages if it's the wrong domain. Make all of your content depend on the JavaScript by calling functions within the articles to retrive certain content.
yep, if you are an optimist, you will see at least 2 benefits of what i said: You will get more backlinks and these backlinks are good because you have chose the right anchor text with refer to your site keyword You will get more traffic from their sites, their feed (links in post will be kept in feed, Im not sure )
If someone copies your full posts with no link back to your original URL. then it will really hurt your SERP and chances that your original post can go to supplement result.
I think if someone has copied your content, it only shows that your content is really interesting and informative. This was also happened to me. My articles have been also copied by other bloggers and yet they did not put my name as the author or did not include my resource box in the article. But I think that's really a part of being engaged with internet and I can't stop them by doing it. The best way to do is to post first your article to your site or blog and be sure to index it first by search engines before you submit them to article directories. In this way, your article will be considered as the original one.
This has happened to me as well it's a shame that there are so many dishonest people on the web. You can report it to google but google may or may not do anything about it.
First thing to do. Report it to google. If google index your articles fast enough then you don't have to worry about anything. You may see the duplicate content ranking higher then your site, put don't worry, the duplicate site will fall sooner or later deep in the results.
lol "save as" that's like a photocopy of your site. I feel sorry for you bro. search for a DCMA letter and filled it up and send it to them, this usually scares them and make them take down their site
I have seen some blogs protecting their content through Copy Scape (I'd have put the link...but jr members are not allowed to do so) You can try that out. And yes...as all the members advised, "Report it to Google"
Ditto! I face the same problem with my blog. The moron who copied it removed the stolen content...thankfully.
Upload your sitemap to Google webmasters as soon as you upload your site...this is no guarantee, but should help with google having a record that the article came from your site first -- regardless of how many more backlinks the thief's site has.
Than why you dont worry....that fellow who copied your content will get Google penalty, his / her site might get ban from SE.
See how the person monetizes their site and contact the companies they're dealing with. For example, most serious affiliate programs will drop content thieves.
Another way to resolve this is by going to whoishostingthis.com Next thing you want to do is type the domain where your copied content resides. The results will show you the ISP of your content scraper. Pretty neat huh? Go to the ISPs site and look for an e-mail or contact form. Explain the whole deal in details and if you are required to provide a full and complete DMCA just visit this page here to get the form. In most cases the person who has copied content should be kicked out by his/her ISP... End of Story! Hope this helps
