A man gets locked up for threatening Obama, now the shooting at the Democratic headquarters. Is all this related to the dissatisfaction of the condition of politics in the US?

I hope security is tight at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) tonight. Obama is receiving tons of threats.

"Denver police meanwhile were probing the arrests of four men in connection with a possible plot to assassinate Obama at the stadium"

"ABC News reported three men who were arrested on Sunday in the city of Aurora, east of Denver, had admitted to a plan to kill Obama using a rifle. Authorities had earlier played down the incident."

Actually he is free to say anything he wants, but there are consequences for what he says.

If you read the post and my response, you will see that you are merely repeating the exact point I was making. Of course he may utter any words he wants. He was implying that he could do so without consequence.

    Thanks for backing me up.

I'm starting to wish I had put some money on him being assasinated. I said a few months ago that there are too many people in the US that simply aren't progressive enough to accept a black president.

It's a sad fact that groups like this are going to be organised enough and powerful enough to threaten democracy.

If he did get assassinated, it wont do any favours for the U.S in the eyes of the international community, thats for sure. Not that I guess it matters much.

Even though I dont mind taking the odd swipe at the U.S for its various politricks and misdeamours, I really wouldnt like to see the sorta of headlines that im sure everyone can imagine should a black president be shot dead.
