I was in the top place, because i sent the rating link to a lot of people, and asked for them to give their honest opinion on the directory itself (www.webotopia.org), design, and all the other parameters that were there.

Those people included, friends, customers, and people that actually clicked YOUR banner on my website, and ended up voting for it, because they liked it.

DirectoryCRITIC and the administration you apply to it, is so bad man. All those people wasted their time to vote for nothing ?

I had no reason to con your pathetic directory. Check the IPs of the voters, and check their comments , and check their scores too.

Some reviews were shitty like hell, some actually said interesting comments, and some were very nice, because my directory if you have a look at it, is built with the CUSTOMER IN MIND, full XHTML and CSS valid, WAI AA conformant and so on.

You erased them all. ALL

This is not fair at all. Put them back please.

Just because other members are jelous and the fuckers mailed you, with lies, you have to ERASE all my ratings ?

Without even giving me an e-mail to notify me ? or something like that ?

 

Here's a discussion i had, after i posted the above, with one of this forum's members. I post it here (with his approval) so that people can understand my RUDE reaction above). The discussion has some parts cut out :

I am not going to be dragged into a public brawl about this.

Here are the facts:

- There were only 7 listing in your directory and 23 ratings. How can someone comment about your submission time, traffic etc when thhey're not even listed?

- Most of the ratings were dishonest. For example, nearly all the ratings have given you 10/10 for traffic. That means your brand new directory sends 500+ visitors to all these people?

You cant just get your friends or clients to rate your directory. The system is meant for people who are using your directory. I monitor the new ratings every day and have deleted many over the last 6 months.

At the end of the day, I am trying to create a fair rating system and the ratings you received we no fair to other directories listed and my visitors.

I am working on some new rating TOS which will be positioned at the top of the ratings page incase this is unclear to anyone who is rating directories.

That's all I have to say about the matter.
