Joomla v1.5 Website Hacked (Careful)

My joomla version 1.5 based website www.Totalpoint.net is Hacked .
I got to know this only by today.

Is there any method to get my site back ?
Also i want to give a advice of Caution of those who are using Joomla v1.5 .

 

I can likely fix it if I can crawl in there. It depends on how it was hacked.

You are the 6th person I have stumbled across with hacked joomla site in under a week. Seems to be fairly popular this week.

Yes joomla mod and extensions and exploid for hackers you need to read the new security updates stay away from 1.5 till it is more stable go for 1.0.

 

What mods did you have installed ? were they nulled versions ? its not likely that they are getting in from the main system they will most likely be coming in from a cracked MOD you installed. Reinstall your backups and then uninstall any mods that could set you at risk.

Also when you install the backup make sure you install in in a new MySQL database or change the password of the current one

Had to go into SQL Database to solve it

 

Yeah but that wouldnt have removed the cause of the problem now you have to find how they got in other wise it will keep happening

 

@RIverWire you are 100% right , i had installed nulled Yoo theme before ,
Now as i change my template from yoo theme to any other theme i get my site back . And as soon as i go for yoo theme my site says its Hacked !!!

 

Ok if you have used any other Nulled things on your site i would remove them, most joomla nulled mods and scripts carry a back door to your database. If you havent got a full back up of your database and site files , do it now.... Also dont forget to change you passwords etc

 

What do you think is that null theme was the cause ?
I am scared somewhat , because i had spent days n night customizing that yoo theme !!

Can i get my previous Theme Back ?
Is there any other way ?

 

Did you back up yoursite before this happen and does you webhost back up your site every week.

If so ask them to restore your old back up.

 

I guess my theme is gone , the Cracker has edited the HTML as well as Css Files completely , with the page of his own !!
