Adsense is dying more after every update

I think google did an update recently (this weekend I went to my adsense account and I got that site down message that is usually up when an update is happening) and now I am doing worse than ever. Its showing much less traffic (and I didn't change anything)......and of course no money.....what a waste of time it has been for me to try adsense.

I agree with all those adsense is dead articles. I still try to hold on but goole doesn't seem to want to raise adsense from the dead.

I have never done great with Adsense but now my earnings are almost nothing. It does seem to be a huge slow down. Maybe it is just the summer slow down.

Funny, my earnings have been going up every month since I started using Adsense.

If you don't have any traffic, you're not going to make any money. It's amazing how some people haven't figured that out yet.

Last saturday adsense started ruining me...
But especially on the blogger/blogspot blogs where I have adsense, is this where you use adsense too?

Mine keeps going up. But I continue to add new content, add backlinks, promote, and strengthen my sites. I'm not just sitting around refreshing my earnings page over and over again.

i too have noticed my earnings burping after an update. then it slowly rises after i make adjustements and placements. i had my best week yet leading into this weekend. then after the maintenance, things have sputtered again. too early to tell though.

Have to disagree somewhat here. There is always room for experimenting, you just have to do it right. "Playing"...yeah, playing or "dinking around with" doesn't help much, but I wouldn't stop methodic, well-controlled experimentation of placements.

And Adsense isn't dying, I've been doing just fine after this and all previous updates.

Doing minimal changes is fine. But wasting hours on end changing templates and ad formats completely is a waste of time. There are only a few formats that perform the best. I discuss them in my post. Once they're set, there isn't much dinking around to do after that.

I agree with you 100%. It is slow as molasses, and my earnings went from ~ $15 - 20 per day to about $2 per day. They are playing dirty. Of course, there is pressure from investors to continue producing great earnings, so that is what they are doing. But, it is not right. I have stopped using AdSense altogether, as of this morning.

I am very disappointed, but not necessarily surprised. Sadly, it seems that most companies which grow to the size of Google lose their focus and begin engaging in unethical practices such as these.

I still use Adsense as a backup network.

I'm glad I came to my senses before it was too late. Can't even imagine how much money I lost out on before switching over to CPM ads.

I often experience the every other Saturday update surprises.

It's out of my control, so I just try and concentrate on driving quality traffic to my sites and eventually things "normalize".

I don't see any significant change in the earning pattern since the Saturday update. Everything seems to happen as usual for me...

I agree with you. In the summer the internet seems to just fail in general. Im not sure why, mabey its the ammount of kiddies who are not so internet savvy clicking all the ads looking for dirty pics and some games

    All the key is traffic....

But sometimes we can say that after the Google update some of the site didn't get good PR and I think it would be influence to the traffic and SERP.

Adsense is only for people who can dedicatedly work without any illegal stuff or spam...so you can now categorize yourself into which one you fall and you get your answer :D :D
