    I have never submitted a site map, for those sites where I have one I have added a link to the site map on my front page.

    As for what it is, it helps the search engines find their way around your site, but personally I think so long as the links are from you front page and you have links coming in then the search engines will find all your pages anyway.

    I haven't not done it on purpose its just a case of time I can create new sites and promote them or spend time submitting site maps or link building or ...

    There's so much to do to promote a site I just don't see it as a priority

    Google sitemap is important for google crawler to crawl your site easily and quick when you make new changes in your site and update the sitemap. As well as it is useful for user point of view. User can esaly find which he need.

    When you reach a place it will be good if you have map showing all locations for there . Similarly the google bot can easily find out contents of your site through site map

    I think this site is very usefull for you to creat sitemap for your website.
    In case of using a dynamic website, your sitemap need to have a php function to do this work. The tool online only support for static site. For example, with wordpress, you can use google sitemap plugin is very good. Have fun. Try more find out which tool is best for you. Here is an example
