I am so obsessed with SEO. I have an addiction for it. I know there is a ton of information about this subject on the net and all available for free. But yesterday while at Barnes & Noble I just had to pick up the latest copy (3rd Edition) of "SEO For Dummies" writen by Peter Kent. The book was released about a month or two ago. I dont think you can ever have enough information on this subject .
Never heard of him, but i searched "Peter Kent" and he came in #3 for his own name, his site only has 146 Yahoo backlinks, he doesn't use Alt tags on images, his page Titles are very poor, homepage has canonical URL's with www/http and index.htm versions, he uses Javascript for his navigation and the list goes on. Good luck with your book.
Why does Sweetfunny always beat me to these posts... damnit! Was going to say I never heard of the guy and usually SEO books are out dated before they even get approved by the editor... little lone printed, marketed than actually sold.

No non-www\www 301 redirect, using improper structure of homepage link with and without index.html, no alt attributes, incorrect image filenames, no robots.txt... the list goes on

But he is an expert in SEO, he wrote a book. Boy, I wish I had time to write a book. Oh well, back to link building...
