Has anyone seen any traffic coming from Cuil? I've checked my rankings there and have one site that is on page 2 .. but I havent seen a single visit with cuil.com as the referrer.. JK
Nope, I own a web design & development company and a fairly large proxy network and I haven't tracked a single visit referred from cuil. I don't even know if they're _on_ cuil (not that I care, really =P). Useless, I say!
Haha yeah thats what I thought .. I guess I wont be launching any "how to rank highly on cuil" ebooks in the forseeable future JK
I had 9 referrals from cuil so far in August - out of ~ 6500 SE referrals. I am #1 in cuil and #2 in google for my primary key word.
hahahahahahahaha lol thats very funny no one searching from cuil yet? wat happened to their alexa rank?
Alexa 2707, compared to digitalpoint 2224 - Not that alexa means much anyway. Maybe the search results on DP are better anyway? JK
I had made the guess that it's the top left, but it certainly isn't intuitive. At least the pictures still have nothing to do with the results they are next to. I don't know what I would do if they take that away.
Can someone here tell me why we use Cuil? all the results are low relevant, they just say out loud that they have a largest database even larger than Google, sh!t. Don't know how long this greenhorn SE lasts?
I think the only people who have visited Cuil are people like us who generally are involved in some sort of Internet Business. I think the general public is quite content with Google, unfortunately :-(
I haven't received on hit from them... yet. However, I agree with the above post - The general public is not aware of them. I think they will eventually become a player once they get the kinks worked out, but I don't think that will be any time soon.
Remember, cuil is still in development stages, they haven't even started marketing their search engine. Most people actually using the "search" feature are developers and beta testers, and web masters searching within their own niche. (EG: If you added a gaming related website, you probably searched cuil for gaming to see if your site was added, but never clicked anyone else's link.)
Cuil is just another Google Road Kill... few years down the line if u search for cuil.com u will see " This page is parked free, courtesy of GoDaddy.com " my 2 cents on this topic
Unique visitors the past 30 days from: Google = 20,526 Cuil = 32 Hmm, I would say that the Cuil founders' expectations to crush Google are not quite happening.
