Problems with Text Ad Units? Anyone low in clicks lately?

I am using a program called CRAZY EGG and it tells you where people are
clicking on your website.

Anyway, CRAZY EGG says that I have two clicks on my top 336x280 text
ad unit. It's said this for about 2 hours. Yet, when I check my AdSense stats,
they haven't seemed to have even acknowledged the clicks.

I am not having problems with any other ad units on my page.

So I was mainly curious to see if you guys were having problems also. I have
gone back to my old perfect pushup template and that used to get clicks all
the time. Yet, lately clicks have gone way down. When I used CRAZY EGG
I realized that I was getting clicks on my large text ad units and they weren't
being counted by AdSense.

Anyone else having this problem?

 

You must remember that a click on the Ad Unit doesn't necessarily translate into a click in Adense. It counts ONLY if they click on the link, not just some random spot in the Ad Box. I see this on my site frequently where clicks counted by my script don't show up in Adsense stats.

PS: Do you use Crazy Egg, or something else?

 

I do not use Crazy Egg but the principle is the same. If a person clicks in the box, they will still be taken to a site, but Google has determined that this is not a quality click and does not count it. It has been this way for a while now (was in their blog I believe a while back) Only clicks on the Ad Unit that are made in certain areas are credited to your account.

It's a modification of some snippets of code that have been posted as ideas here a few years ago.

 

Google analytics will be able to tell you guys all that same info in a couple months. I get clicks all the time that don't amount to money. I think adsense would still count the click but not pay out any money for it. It could be just a case of the adsense stats not updating right away.

 

I use AddFreeStats to track my clicks, they some time say that I got clicks in ads but Actually I belived that for some days,

When it showed that I got a click in adsense add in a site which was just then created, and I am the one who clicked a link but not the adsense ad.

But they shown that a click on adsense.

So there maybe a problem the tracker or the ad that was got clicked may be a public service ad.

 

Thats true----do those programs like crazy egg and so on work pretty well?
do you just paste a code on your pages?
