Saddam used chemical agents on the Kurds and poison gas on the Iranians.

Iraq had the scientists and money to rebuild their WMD programs. If they couldn't figure it out that could also buy the technology from the Khan network in Palistain.

If they US hadn't taken Saddam out either North Korea or Russia would be building a reactor there right now.

Taking Saddam out of power was never a bad thing... the problem came with the exit strategy.

There are many things that "aren't bad". The question comes if removing such thing is needed or requested.

Iraqis didn't want us to remove Saddam nor they every claimed so.

    Peace,

The Kurds and Shiites wanted Saddam removed from power.

If you want to use that logic. Germany didn't want Hitler removed from power.

Well, we could talk to several of those who had family members that were viciously murdered by Saddam. I think that would be a good place to start. Sure, Saddam had his supporters, but had Terrorists not flooded in from surrounding countries, I think most of the Iraqi's would state that they would prefer the changes. Education, women's rights, and a wide variety of other things have really improved over there according to my three family members that have served terms there. I think that it is time for some change though and we have to figure out a way to end this, even if that means just pulling out and letting Iraqi's defend themselves.

Yes it was, he did not randomly massacre people like is said on these forums, he helped Iraq and the people alot, for sure he made mistakes during the Iran-Iraq war but everyone is really overracting with him.

For example he is just an angel compared to the USA or Israel administrations.

Why don't you let Iraqis speak for themselves please?

If you want to stay in Iraq do it on your own, pay out of your pocket, don't spend my tax money on it.
The war on Iraq was supported only by ignorant people and idiots.

Which do you like more, how he gassed his own people to death or the rape rooms?

    Tell that to Kuwait.

    ok, didnt know about Kuwait.

I like more how they do it in Guantanamo Bay detention camp ;)

Still, I dont believe that Iraq asked for help from US. Its more likely the other way around.

Propaganda, one that still seems to float around. I don't see how people could repeat the churns of Fox News without researching it themselves.

Saddams actions for his country are contary to the claims that people say about him, he would of died for Iraq and after research, most seem to be twsited propaganda by ultra patriotic americans who were for the war.

    Check below

    http://uruknet.info/?p=3943

I know you will go on to scream Jew hater, Saddam defender, etc etc, but really, i think it is important that we look at everything impartially and with facts and try to not let any bias touch us when we are doing research, no matter what the research is on or who it is.

The same ones we equipped Saddam to kill?

Oh wait, that was when he was on our side.

We knew that Iraq wasn't producing or wanting to produce WMD. That was not the reason (even bush admitted to it).

Russia is the 2nd larges nuclear nation, if they want to build nuclear reactors, they would. US won't be able to stop them.

    Peace,

how come 2nd? Do you mean nuclear weapons or nuclear power ? :)

If its nuclear weapons then Russia is still 1st here. With power I think we are 3rd.

Yeah and the U.S. wasn't largely responsible for the demise of the USSR either.

    You are far from impartial.

It is clear he used gas and killed his own people. That you called him an angel in comparison to the US speaks of your own sad logic. You are free to think whatever you wish about Saddam. He is dead now so it hardly matters.

the United States Defense Intelligence Agency investigated and produced a classified report, which it circulated within the intelligence community on a need-to-know basis. That study asserted that it was Iranian gas that killed the Kurds, not Iraqi gas.

Should be a bit clearer for you now.
