I am going to say it one last time. Your countries monetary system is controlled by individual bankers. They do not care for the countries laws, they care only for their own profit. The federal reserve system in your country (maybe you have heard it) is controlled by the same group that brought Hitler to power in the 30s. It is controlled by well known racists like Rockefeller.

Even your president is the grandson of the well known American traitor Prescott bush, who together with Fritz Thyssen, funded Hitler. He brought Hitler to power.
Your president is the grandson of this person. In a real free society this would NEVER be possible. You should realize that. Prescott Bush is convicted!

Futhermore your entire media system is owned by people like Rupert Murdoch. (yes I know he owns RTL and other European media as well)

This is REAL corporatism with the fascist meaning. Realize it fast before its too late.

Let me teach you another thing. Your government claims it was attacked by Bin Laden (who has kidney failure, and could never be hiding right now because he needs to ly on dialysis equipment 24/7). Your governemnt claims it was attacked by arabic hijackers. It is now proven that 7 of these so called hijackers are still alive. What does this say? Did they lie about it? They went to war in Iraq for it.
This reminds me of only one event, the Reichstag event in the 30s in Germany. The Reichstag got bombed by the Germans (It was the german parliament), and they claimed a (Polish) communist did it.
It gave Hitler a free pass to start a war inside Europe. It was called the war against terrorists. (Jew terrorists, according to Hitler, were at every corner, influencing everything.)
It gave Hitler a pass to invade the entire Europe. He destroyed the strongest and most free countries on earth and instated his (American-like) corporatism here.

Oh and to remove all doubts now from the readers mind. Please realize that the Rockefeller family had a patent on a substance wich was put in oil in that time. No vehicle could travel without this little substance. Rockefeller (and his company Standard oil, now called EXXON and MOBIL ) was the only reason that the German tanks could even move. Without the American Rockefeller, no German tank would have even been able to travel.

LOL - yep, OK, Profit. You are free to say it one more time, or a million more times; you are free to redefine "corporatism" to mean anything you wish; you are free to stamp your feet, really, really hard, and you are free to believe what you will.

But you betray a complete lack of understanding of what corporatism actually is. I tried to help you with both a general explanation, and a reference to your own country's corporatist example - the Polder system - but you seem to wish to engage in conspiracy theory in lieu of a credible discussion of your original misstatement regarding corporatism.

Again, begin, perhaps, with an investigation into your own country's polder system - whereby the corporatist entities "producers," "labor" and the "state" pursue their own analogue to the German notion of "conflict-cooperation" "social-market" economy. To understand this, I'd suggest you delve into your country's history a bit more deeply, look more closely at the coalitions surrounding your national development, in particular the Catholic Center and Christian Democrat regimes. Your nation's modern corporatism began there.

Or, ignore all this, and continue to believe Americans are an ignorant mass of cretins, and you (in your apparently august age), are preternaturally gifted with wisdom and truth.

Please try to refrain from using personal insults and or attacks. I am 23 years old and I own a well runnin business. Please do not try to use personal attacks again.

Ontopic: It is the countries total population that decides or seems to decide what happens in a country. We then have a look at what the entire population wants, this includes the intellectuals, this includes the scientists. It includes the barbers upto the elderly women. They all vote, don't they?
No, nothing of what I stated is part of a conspiracy theory. They are all well known facts. Especially in the Netherlands we know alot about German history, and their trading with the Americans.
You as an American should know that Prescott Bush was CONVICTED!!!! I have listed an explaination about that beneath my story.

Yes you talk about the Polder model, but you seem to forget that we have got a free market system. The government endorses only laws that protect against fraud or other large scale crimes. Yes It is true that certain parts of our government have been privatized. Our water supplies, our electricity supplies, heck even our postal service is now entirely run by TNT. Yes that is true. But this happened in a VERY short time. And a majority of the people are against it.
The privatization of public property happened under the VVD and CDA government. It is now continuing under the CDA- CU and PVDA government. This however does not mean our entire government thinks like this. It is only because currently there is a right wing government in power. Our current Prime minister belongs to the CDA. This is a right wing christian group, wich you can probably compare the most with the current Bush administration. It is because of this that our prime minister, Balkenende, wich you probably know as Harry Potter, supported the fascist war against the neutral country of Iraq.

However, it is only in America where we see such a massive influence of the media, that they simply block out free speaking presidential candidates like Ron Paul. They simply censored him, infact, he has been on TV exactly 0 times in Europe. Because the Americans simply did not even acknowledge his existence. The big difference between our 2 countries is the fact that we can choose from 100s of representatives, while you get to choose at a 2 party state. Its always one of the 2. 2 parties wich are actually one and the same!

    FACT BASE PRESCOTT BUSH:

Business transactions with Germany were not illegal until Hitler declared war on the United States on December 11, 1941, but, six days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed the Trading With the Enemy Act after it had been made public that U.S. companies were doing business with the declared enemy of the United States. On October 20, 1942, the U.S. government ordered the seizure of German banking operations in New York City. Roosevelt's Alien Property Custodian, Leo T. Crowley, signed Vesting Order Number 248 seizing property under the Trading with the Enemy Act. The order cited only the Union Banking Corporation (UBC), of which Bush was a director and held only one share. Fox News has reports on recently declassified material about this issue, according to a document signed by Homer Jones, chief of the division of investigation and research of the Office of Alien Property Custodian.

Union Bank was shut down, Bush was also on the boards of other German companies that were under German state control, such as the Hamburg - Amerika line while he was money laundering for the Third Reich.

I am sorry if you feel insulted, Profit. I understand the feeling - as an American, to be named as being a moronic automaton simply on the basis of my nationality is hard to swallow as well. And to be be smugly told I am to be "taught" "one last time" by someone who has betrayed zero understanding of the terms he freely, and pejoratively, tosses out is equally difficult to swallow. But you are right - to respond to what seemed to me to be your youthful superciliousness with my own disdain was not appropriate, and for that, I apologize.

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, to be honest. You began by simply confusing corporatism for "elite conspiracy." You are now conflating a non-discussion of what corporatism actually is, with a conspiracy theory that is widely known. Did you wish to discuss corporatism, or conspiracy theory respecting Prescott Bush, Rockefeller, et al?

I have tried to point you to your country's model as only one example of a polity existing under the name, "corporatist." Such corporatism precedes your Polder system; as I said, please go to to your own country's national development and regime coalition structure, your own history, to help - all the way back to Pope Leo's latter 19th century.

This is quite commonly known, and a very cursory web search alone yields a good deal. Here - one.

    http://www.ilo.org/public/english/employment/strat/publ/etp54.htm#2

And so forth. As I said, it began with the agricultural corporatism extant towards the latter part of the 19th century, reached a good deal of institutionalization during the interwar (1919-1939) period, and continues today. A classic, corporatist model, like many other extant systems.

However, you have chosen to ignore all this, wishing instead to repeat known conspiracy theories, while baselessly insulting an entire people. All the best.

Yeah, you are making tons of sense. The unstopable Ron Paul was stopped by the US media. And the US media is the reason that European press didn't cover him.

The reality (something you are obviously not comfortable with) is that he has minimal support and we simply don't want him representing our country.

When I read drivel like your posts above I am thankful that foreigners don't get a say in US elections.

It is just a matter of demand and supply, China produces cheaper goods and more desirable ones than others and they were purchased. In this way consumers gain maximum utility whereas the Chinese gain their profits.

It is not just China that wins, USA manufacturers with China plants are laughing to the bank too. It is a Win Win Situation.

I agree, it is simple economics. However, at some point China will not be able to keep their workers from demanding fair wages and working conditions - that will alter the equation. There are many countries that will benefit when Chinese goods cost more.

The recent earthquake was just another example of the Chinese people learning that their lax building codes and enforcement of those codes only hurts the people. The people will not continue to accept that - just like every other modern society.

China is a long story and I do not expect any rapid changes. Slowly but surely they people will demand more.

Right now many Chinese are happy because things are better than they've ever seen them. They probably won't start making those demands until the glee of not being poor anymore wears off a bit. It might take a few generations or more. It's hard to say with a population that big.
At any rate, you could turn the way the terms are presented around a bit and instead of saying China is funding our debt, say that we are basically helping to fund the greatest emergence from poverty in history.
When you're an awesomely innovative, productive nation with a stable government and infrastructure, running debt at 60+%/GDP probably isn't as bad as it sounds. Not that we shouldn't try to lower it.

China is already losing jobs to Vietnam because of wages. The same thing happened with Japan and China. As their economies mature, workers expect a bigger piece of the pie, pushing up the cost of labor.

It's incredible how much you need to state the word conspiracy theory, when you talk about known facts. Prescott Bush was convicted. He was sentenced and his bank was taken to the ground. It is a FACT. He even tried to overthrow the US government back then.

I quote wikipedia, along with the sources used.

    Alleged plot to overthrow FDR:

On July 23, 2007, the BBC Radio 4 series Document reported on the alleged Business Plot and the archives from the McCormack-Dickstein Committee hearings. The program mentioned Bush's directorship of the Hamburg-America Line, a company that the committee investigated for Nazi propaganda activities, and the alleged 1933 attempt, supposedly led by Gerald MacGuire, to stage a military coup against President Franklin D. Roosevelt aimed at forcing Roosevelt to resign (or, failing that, to assassinate him) and at installing a fascist dictatorship in the United States.

And a little article from the Guardian.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar

Ok I will go into economics and politics just for you guys this time:

None of you guys seem to even understand the BASICS of monetary policy.

You state in your story yourself that it is based upon corporate interests, since 1913 the United States stepped off the gold standard. The gold standard was the base for the value of its money. After 1913 private bankers took control of the US monetary system. This is well known. It is called the Federal Reserve. They print money out of thin air, and loan it out to private banks, against an interest. There has been a CONSTANT inflation since 1913 wich means YOUR money gets worth less since 1913.
To give you an idea on how bad it is, the dollar is now worth 3 cents of what it was worth in 1913.
As you are maybe a little young still, ask your parents if they remember the days when they could buy a bread for a quarter!

Alex Jones is so many years too late. Many came before him. It is always very easy to take 10000s of facts back to one person. Thats not how it works.
These are not invented theories, these are common FACTS if you at least get out of your chair and take a look for yourself.

Why is there no American that can discuss using facts? Why do they all get personal? This almost looks like (Fox, oh ahum sorry!!) primate behaviour.

And also, I dont exactly understand how ANY American would have the right to call an European dumb, you live in a country with a 2 party government! Your elections allow you to choose between 2(!!!) parties. Let me tell you, a country like Iran, wich you see as inferior to you, has got more political parties.
You allow kids to buy action hero figures, and watch cartoons with violence and killing of everyone, yet showing anything related to porn is not Christian!

Go visit Amsterdam, maybe you will learn something about the world outside of the US, outside of your known zeitgeist.

No one hates the US citizens, we hate the fact that you listen to your leaders without questioning them.

Did you know, America (not Iran) is the only country in the World to be both charged with International Terrorism by the World Court of Justice in the Hague and the country to Veto a UN resolution calling on all States to observe International Law?

For those of you who don't feel you can trust a normal person because your government has educated you to believe they are crazy because they question their authorities, check out the ICJ website:

    http://www.icj-cij.org/

OR for the full transcript of the Judgement of the Court, entitled:

"Military and Paramilitary Activities in and against Nicaragua (Nicaragua v. United States of AmerIca)"

    http://www.icj-cij.org/docket/files/70/9973.pdf

    A part of the judgement:

    (14) By fourteen votes to one,

Decides that the United States of America is under an obligation
to make reparation to the Republfc of Nicaragua for all injury caused
to Nicaragua by the breaches of the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and
    Navigation between the Parties sfgned at Managua on 21 January 1956;

    IN FAVOUR; President Nagendra Singh; Vice-President de Lacharrière;
Judges Lachs, Ruda, Elias, Oda, Ago, Sette-Camara, Sir Robert Jennings,
    Mbaye, Bedjaoui, N i and Evensen; Judge ad hoc Colliard;

    AGAINST; Judge SchwebeB.

Yes the people in the Netherlands actually know what is going on at their high courts, like in the Hague.

Profit, I call it "theory" because the extent and seriousness of the "White House Putsch" was never fully-fleshed out, despite a goodly amount of evidence suggesting Butler's testimony was spot on. In fact, the matter never made it past congressional committee, and there was never a consensus on the matter as to culpability. (See Schlesinger's doubts, for one). It is true that Bush's firm's assets were seized in 1942, but to my knowledge, legal action was never pursued against him personally, so I don't know where you conclude Bush was "convicted." Bush was apparently a paper, titular officer, and not an operating officer of the interest. It is apparent to me that Bush's involvement nevertheless stank to high heaven, as many corporate officers and business entities, doing business with Hitler's regime and aiding his ascendancy, did.

But this was not my contention in this thread, and in my opinion you continue to miss the point: you have confused "corporate" for "corporatist" from the beginning of your posts here:

That fascism utilized corporatist social structure to further its aims does not mean they are the same thing; they are not - they are two entirely different things. For convenience's sake, I will reprint the example from your own country's "neo-corporatism":

By way of another example (I alluded to this when I said, "Pope Leo's latter portion of the 19th century):

In other words, it is a structural way that political-economic interests are mobilized and involved in the process. Not a conspiracy, necessarily, but a structural consideration distinguished from pluralism. And in fact, as I also alluded to earlier, the seed of agro-corporatism and early industrial corporatism discussed in the above paragraph provided much of the impetus for the social democracies formed after WWI (I've discussed these a good deal), as well as your own country's tri-partite management structure of producer, labor and state.

I guess, Profit, I find a certain glaring irony in your calling Americans ignorant as a nation of people, while ineptly positing a misapprehension of the very system practiced in your country. Your concern seems to be the notion of elite, namely, corporate-state collusion in conspiring against a people and the world; all well and good. But this has nothing to do with corporatism, per se, as I have said, and as I have shown.

To your point of two party v. coalition systems, both have their virtues and both have their endemic problems. I've touched on it before; merely food for thought, to be taken as such, or discarded, as you will:

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

The evidence has also prompted one former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator's action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

The debate over Prescott Bush's behaviour has been bubbling under the surface for some time. There has been a steady internet chatter about the "Bush/Nazi" connection, much of it inaccurate and unfair. But the new documents, many of which were only declassified last year, show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis' plans and policies, he worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler's rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty.

While there is no suggestion that Prescott Bush was sympathetic to the Nazi cause, the documents reveal that the firm he worked for, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), acted as a US base for the German industrialist, Fritz Thyssen, who helped finance Hitler in the 1930s before falling out with him at the end of the decade. There is evidence that shows Bush was the director of the New York-based Union Banking Corporation (UBC) that represented Thyssen's US interests and he continued to work for the bank after America entered the war.

Legal action was taken, en is even now still done by family of the victims, and even the victims themselves. As explained above.

I am not confusing anything. I am nearly pointing out that if corporate entities, wich are owned by INDIVIDUALS, get control of necessary utilities like the money value, the water supplies, the electricity. Then it means that these corporate entities simply have CONTROL over daily life.

You can tell me, yes this is nice, they have all kinds of agreements. This is not important. What is important is that the owner of a company, or the largest shareholder decides what happens with the company AND its products and utilities. It is a simple DICTATOR of the rules, as they are dictated from above to businesses, by their owners. Reality works like this. You own a business, you get to say what is going on.

A (great) example can be seen in the healthcare system in the USA and parts of the EU now as well. Private insurance companies supply, against a monthly fee, a healthcare insurance. You can go to a hospital if you pay this monthly fee. In my country the fee for someone of my age rates between 115 and 140 EUR monthly. This is about $175.
If you do not pay this, you are not insured, so you cannot go to a hospital. It is as simple as that.
In my country we always had a system, where everyone allready paid a small fee in taxes to supply the countries healthcare system. Everyone was automaticly insured. We just all paid a tax for this, the richest people paid a little more than the poor ones. Everyone was automaticly insured.
Right now it is changed, private insurance companies own it all, this means THEY get to decide what is inside your insurance. If they for example do not want to ensure you against burn wounds, or against a broken leg. Then you simply cannot get helped with a broken leg.

Please do not lecture me about the way the systems in my country work, I have not talked about this. We know it is bad here too. But at least we SAY it. I have only talked about the media control, the financial control and the control of utilities. We did not talk about any "nickname" for an economic system. This is like going back to high school, we get tought all these economic curves at economics. And none of it ever came out in reality. We must talk about what is BEHIND the economy.

The reason the economics do not work out, when private groups own it, is because the money supply is regulated by PRIVATE companies. The FED is not a national institution, it is a PRIVATE group. They do not answer to the state, they simply trade with the state. But they supply the money to the American economy. This is simply printed. It does not have any real value behind it anymore, other than the need for money flow on the consumer market. Because of the continuous printing of huge amounts of dollars, there is constant inflation. What happens when banks get in debt? The FED simply injects money in the market. Ever thought about where this money comes from? It is simply printed and means it is DIRECT inflation. A quick explaination of price / supply. You inject money, so more money becomes available. But there is no actual need for this money, and no actual value behind it. It is like providing 50 dedicated servers when your client needs 5. Alot of dollars there, but no possessions in goods. A country like Iran even changed into Euros because they saw the inflation of the dollar happen so fast, compared to EUR or Pound coins.

You will not see this on paper, you will see this ONLY in the prices of raw materials, or goods. Coffee, Sugar, Grain, Oil. This is the way you SEE that the inflation is direct. It means you dollar gets worth less compared to these goods.
It has not always been like that. Before 1913 there was no FED (federal reserve), there was a gold standard. Every dollar had an actual value of gold behind it, and it was also TRADEable directly into that amount of gold.
This huge amount of gold of the USA for example, was stored in places like Fort Knox. (Maybe you still remember that place).
Austrian economics would maybe be the only solution to saving our western economies right now. In here we have got exactly the same problem, with the ECB (European central bank). Clear reasons why some countries in Europe have never joined the Euro currency.

What I am talking about is the fact that we talk about it, while the average American does not even WANT to know. He rather prefers to call the messenger stupid, than to listen to what he has to say. Or even take it into consideration.
But I mean, if you get real, I know for sure that 95% of your family members cannot even find the Netherlands on the world map. I do not want to insult you, but just test it out. Americans seem to have a superiority feeling. It would not make a difference if the rest just disappeared.

    Profit,

Regarding Prescott Bush, you are merely cutting the information from the Wiki page (without sourcing it). What you post, I know.

Regarding corporatism, you have yet show you you have a proper understanding of the term, in theory or in historical practice, and so I don't find much usefulness in merely repeating the information I've provided in a sincere effort to help you investigate both - theory and practice - further. In fact, I've ascribed no normative value to it, and have shown, whether in your country, or in the nordic social democracies, it has shown itself to be a decent way of hammering out common concerns. It is a structural consideration, and not a normative value.

In other words, I've considered your points in good faith, and said what I have to say. All the best.
