Domain parking is not dead by any means. For those of us with large portfolios, with thousands of names, how on earth are you supposed to develop them all. It takes days, and sometimes weeks, to develop a good site with at least 15+ pages of useful content. Perhaps if you are developing mini-sites you could develop an entire profile, but minisites are mostly filled with useless garbage, recycled content, and jam packed with ads as well. I haven't become rich from domain parking, but I usually make between $4,000-$5,000 a month from it. That covers all my renewal fees, as well as enough money to pay my mortgage and bills. Sure, developed sites have more earning potential.... but to say domain parking is dead is just ridiculous.

Parking doesn't works for domains nowadays as there aren't any good domain names left out that would attract lots of type in traffic. On the other hand it takes a lot of time to create website. So is there real alternative?

So someone mentioned other services like Steadyniche... WHAT ARE THEY?!!? steady niche seems OK, but i want to compare it with other services as it will help the content on a site. my question is can Google analytics be used on it. Right now parked has their system on all the domains so i can log in and see everything on one pages... makes nice and convenient.

You should try looking our product, SteadyNiche. :)

Yes, you can use Google Analytics with SteadyNiche. Just a minor template modification to add the tracking code. ;)

Domain parking is good only if you have no time to develop content. It is definitely a temporary solution. :)

Parking is on the decrease for the reasons mentioned at the start of this thread.

Mini-sites are the new hot craze that is slowly developing - these can add a new layer of fresh value to your domains.

With mini-sites, you place your ad codes on your websites and collect 100% of the revenue instead of sharing with other companies!

With domain parking, domains are easily monetized. However are they being monetized to their maximum potential? When you control how a website makes money you remove the “invisible handcuffs” that you had on previously. Instead of basing your profits off of an advertising feed - deliver products and options to your surfers that make sense - and pay you directly as well.

i pulled out all my domain names long ago to make minisites , proxies :)

they work well if we have generic names otherwise simply waste of traffic and time

    Hello,

Does Steady niche works for non-english domains and keywords?

    Thanks!

Ive been using SteadyNiche for about a week and I was surprised at how easy it is to setup. The templates leave a bit to be desired and we'll have to develop some new layouts but overall impressive.

It's not completely dead just yet but it will be soon.

Development programs and scripts aren't going to fare and better though. The will eventually get flagged as spam by the SEs just like all the data feed sites and AWS sites did a few years back.

The money is in real actual development.

Nowadays, in domain parking you would get $$ only if you have premium domain name + type in traffic + good template customization + keyword optimization = High Revenue :D

But if you don't have good domain in your pocket than don't run for domain parking, build content on it and have adsense script on it directly and get paid monthly in either ways.

I have to agree that parking is not much good anymore for most domains. But development is also a lot harder and you have to get more than a few basic pages up.

Have you seen your avatar lately? lol

Seriously, if you have a great domain u might get enough traffic and ctr to get a wee bit of profit, rinse and repeat = profit. Better than keeping it offline and in a 'secret' hiding place.
