Is text ads earn better return or image ads pay more?? Is banner ads format better or rectangle ads? Anyone can give me some suggestion?
The best one for me is 336 size rectangle...text ads tend to pay more but in case you have image related site then you can have better ctr with image ads...
I don't think ad format will have anything to do with how much the advertisers pay for a click. However, different format will have different CTR. On whether text ads or image ads pay better, just setup channels to track them. Sometimes I notice one will pay better than the other and that varies from one niche to another.
The pay is same, it is depend on the "keyword" and "clicked ip". However, the major different is on the CTR. Rectangle provide higher CTR then banner in general, but you still need to test it out by yourself, try different type/size , monitor for few weeks and find the best.
I find that smaller ads get fewer clicks, but the pay is better as a result of lesser paying ads don't show. It's a lot of give and take. For some more clicks payout better, and for other fewer clicks that pay better seem to work. Experiment with it and see what works best for you.
I wrote a blog post on the best performing adsense ads. Its hard to say if image converts better than text. It really depends where on the site you have placed it. Image ads IN content I would say converts LESS THAN text ads in content. I think banners have some connotations with spam but thats just my opinion.
The 336x280 was our top performer for years until they took away most of the clickable area of the ads. Now we seem to do best with the 160x600, since it uses a larger font size, hence the ads are easier for a user to click (and read!)
It varies with each niche, I have had great success with the small banner, but it varies on my sites.
text ads doest work on my website. image is better. 300x250 box is good. but i got more like 60 CTR on link text. huhu..
