    @GUESTID:

    And by the way - the "blend-in-factor" on your site was really great. Well done!

    My CTR has been in the mid-teens range for the last 3 or so months. If you want this type of CTR the majority of your traffic needs to be organic - let it be from Google, MSN, or Yahoo. You need to be targeting the right keywords and your ad placement needs to be decent. My advice to you is to work on getting the traffic. Once that 's done, play around with the ads. DONT do this the other way around, you'll be wasting your time.

    My template :confused:

    More suggestions - Use Channels to track each adblock.
    Add an Adsense Search Box above title of post. ( You will make more money from searches than from text ads :D )

    Link ad units are supposed to be used when you have used all 3 text ad units. You should check how much they are paying you a per click basis, for me link ad units paid awefully low.

    Why would you want a high CTR?
    Wouldn't that mean that people stay less time on your site and click ads to browse away for more information?

    Warning!!

    I watched a adsense related video some months back. That was an old video about adsense by Joel Comm Who is a Amazon best seller.(claims that He is an expert in adsense)

    In that video he said that Accounts with click through rate over 10% will be flagged by the adsense team. And put your account in danger.

    Again I am not about it...

    Anyway I thought that it would be usefull to you so that I posted this message.

    [Sorry for the big Warning header]

    Yeah but to me that would seem like the quality of your own site isn't good enough so users have to continue searching. If people are only in it for the money a higher CTR is good for them but for people who work hard on their sites, high CTR would mean that the site just isn't good enough. I'd find high a CTR very insulting.

    Blending and better placement of ads will increase the ctr but when the ctr cross into double digit zone, be careful for possible sabotage and watch the source of clicks using adsense tracking tools.

    It has been a while for me in that xx% on adsense and I havent got any warning.

    He's just wrong on that.

    There is ABSOLUTELY Nothing wrong in having a high CTR as it increases your earnings if you are following the TOS.

    Sometimes you have browser windows opened that doesn't cover the whole screen. Open your site with a window width at 700 px or less - then you'll see what I meant.

    Back on the real topic:

    I have also had xx% for adsense on a couple of sites (for a longer period) and havent heard anything from Google.

    @Nora:
    My users seem happy since a lot of them come back again.

    Guest ID - I tried your layout, (I know. Only for a day) However, Summer is almost over,
    I don't want a job, and I have to do what's going to earn me the most money quick to
    prove to my parents that I can blog for a side career while I go to school. Anyway man,
    I will probably have to get a job either way, but point being, your layout just didn't work
    for me. I have a new layout now and it's working quite well so far although I am still making some
    minor tweaks. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the template idea anyway man.
    All help from D.P. members is always greatly appreciated and taken into consideration.

    Live-CMS COM- Putting AdSense in the middle of my posts just didn't work out for me.
    I think it probably annoyed my readers if anything else. This may work on some sites, but not
    mine. I have personally found that putting a 468x60 banner image just below the title of
    my posts separated by social bookmarking links and a border works the best. See my other
    thread for more info on that
    .
