Page Indexed In Under 1 Hour ?

I was just fiddling around inside my GWT (google webmasters tools) dashboard and did a "index stats" check of one of my sites and was surprised to see a blog post I made a little while ago, showed up already. Is this normal ?

 

it is normal. Google loves regular update blog. So yep, it is normal to have it indexed that fast.

 

Yes, that's normal. Mine got indexed within 15 minutes of posting, happened a few times already.

 

Yeah it is possible. Also if that page becomes popular in some social/bookmark website then it is also possible to be indexed fast.

yes, getting indexed in hours is very common.
in general wordpress blogs index very fast. i too have seen sites indexing within hrs.

 

Google absolutely loves regularly updated sites. Especially blog posts, news, etc. Keep up the updating and the site should be nice and successful. But make sure to stay consistent!

 

Boy, wouldn't this be nice for web sites.

 

Oh yeah, since lknaik mentioned it, blogs do get indexed fast, on the condition that you have a sitemap. Otherwise, expect your content to be indexed in days or even weeks.

 

If u have the automatic ping set in WordPress, than it indexes almost instantly. One of my posts a few weeks back was indexed within 30 seconds of posting

It takes more than 5hrs in my case.

 

the blogger blogs & wordpress blogs are updated instantly if the ping is on. write a page & search for your keywords. if its not a tough key phrase, most likely you will see it in the very 1st positions or first page with a link updated 5 minutes ago or like that. with blogger at least, however i have seen that the newly updated page in google may disappear after few days if you don't have enough backlinks.

 

Yeah that is normal. One of my friends has posted one post in his blog and on 11th minute we can see it in SERP list. Google loves fresh and new content.

Blogs are great.
Even the most corporate now has them.
Give you another example.
We posted on Yahoo Answers a question about a hotel in Mexico we are visiting.
60 minutes later the question ranked #4 for the hotel name.
