as long as your code to text ratio is reasonable, adding links to your blogs will not effect your seo

from what i understand you have a blog and you wanna source the information you have on it (as you would in an essay in school), and your question is will that hurt my seo efforts.

    is that your question???

Yes chosenlight, that is what I am asking. It will not be duplicate content as per say, but will resemble the source and I wanted to link to it.

yah so my answer still stands.. Having links on your blog should not effect your seo efforts. unless if your site has so many links on your site that it looks like a link farm. So if for example you have a paragraph of about 50-75 words and have a link to your source article then its not big deal. If your post is a sentence or two and then have a link after it wont necessarily hurt your site because the link contains "similar" information, but it will hurt your seo because your post/blog/site doesnt have content.

Don't complicate things....just build a blog with decent and enough (150-250 words) and you won't have a problem.

Why don't you pm or post your site and i can tell you more.

Always add source information. This is "proper". But, add the "nofollow" attribute to block any PR transfer. If it is a site where PR is not an issue, then don't worry about it, just add the source information.
