I'm considering registering some names with them as their prices look pretty good. Does anyone have any good or bad reviews on them?

Name.com is my new favorite registrar.

Free private whois, cheap price, no problem yet.

I haven't tried them, but by the looks of their website, they are definitely worth considering... and they allow payment by PayPal

I have almost 15 domain name with them and for about 1 year now. Ever since I never had any serious problems with them.

What I just don't like with them is their support, If you ask support from them it will almost takes 24 to get response.

Yes, Name.com is good, except for sometimes it says something like "cannot add your name server because it's not in database" when you add a nameserver. By the way, I vote 9/10 for name.com.

Thanks for your replies. But can you tell me for each domain you purchase, is the price stated, the price you pay or is there VAT to be added upon checkout? I ask this because some registrars often hide the VAT fact.

$5.99 is the total you will pay for .com, .net, and some populars. not as in GoDaddy, you must plus + $0.22

I have only had good experiences with them, they are cheap & reliable. The only thing that has changed is that transfers are now $7.99 :(

I agreed too. However the bad is if you make typo in domain and you can't request refund from them, also the support time is from monday to friday only.. I think this is the strategic to keep the price low.
