My first all nighter since college

I'm going to attempt my first all nighter, since I had to do them back when I was at school.

I'm one of those people that don't like to have things unfinished. It sort of nags in the back of my mind and makes all my other work sluggish. I'm writing my first ebook and it's been just dragging on for too long. I just need to finish it for my own sanity, so I'm to pull an all nighter just to get it done.

Once it's done, I can than focus completely on the sales copy.

Oh, and I've loaded up on caffeine, so I'm ready to go.

Page counts are not important, imo.

Supper - that's what it takes sometimes ;)

    Advice from personal experience:
DO NOT GO ON YOUTUBE, DIGG or any FORUMS. Because you'll spend your night there instead of working ;)

    Good Luck with the e-book;)

Its actually the opposite for me. If I have something to do, or itching about a new idea I want to implement on a landing page or something that requires a few hours work. I will go hardcore on it until its done and live. I will randomly check my clickbank sales every 10 or so minutes but thats about it. I even forget to eat, drink and piss sometimes I am so focused.

Well yeah! If you have an idea at the moment - you do it... But when you are writing an ebook - you will have "blanks" from time to time, when you're not sure what to write... this is when YOUTUBE calls your name ;)

Man thats harsh. I usually find good sleep and a nice 8-5 schedule is the best for productivity.

    I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Always, ALWAYS, have a break/rest/do something else. I am 100% sure, if you work all night, and then have look at your work the next day, you will be shocked how many mistakes/errors you made in your writing.

Rome wasn't built in one day.

Man, I get so pumped up sometimes I can't even sleep...

I get into a trancelike state about halfway thru the second day, by the end of the 3rd day, I'm usually hallucinating or something.

I think the method where you sleep 20 min and work for 4 hours has been debunked, but you can get away with going on like that for a couple of days without too much ill effect right?

Sleep is important... but this is war!

    Hey guys,

Yes I'm the same...i know it's good to take breaks, but sometimes when I have one of THOSE ideas...you know the ideas that you just KNOW will make you some easy money, when I get ideas like that the last thing on my mind is sleep.

Sometimes I'm just too overwhelmed with all the possibilities lol

This is why going hardcore on something is great. I would of probably pissed away time on this for another week. I got 95% complete by 2:15am.

I didn't finish because of computer errors. It seems like every time someone touches my computer they screw it up. Virtual memory errors had me restarting the computer every 25 minutes. I couldn't get them to go away no matter how much I increased virtual memory, uninstalled programs, defragged the computer, nothing will make it shut up. When I get the first error, I have about 30 seconds to save before the computer just locks up.

I'm going to have to reformat.

I didn't finish because there was one chapter I couldn't do because I needed to do a little research. The computer couldn't handle the browser and Word open at the same time lol.

Gotta back my computer stuff up, reformat, reinstall everything, and than finish it off. Yippie.

Oh yeah Bl4ckman, all nighters aren't that bad. It's when you do them over and over again when you run into trouble. That's when you start to consciously dream and stare at the wall for no apparent reason.

If you have plenty of caffeine, you're fine.

I wish that was true for me, but it isn't. I need to roll with my momentum, without distractions.

Tried having couple of similar night-outs myself - only to find myself dozing of by 3-4. Another tip you might find useful - wash your face whenever you feel drowsy - will get you back on track. ;)
